Dunno if this is serious but with no conservation (using everything they’d normally use) the Rivian could power avg home for like 4 days. It’s battery is like 10 powerwalls
I’m probably late to the party on this but I was watching Long Way Up again and they mentioned a “breakthrough“ by Rivian which allowed them to charge the bikes to full in 2 hours. That means about 7.5 kw charging. I’m assuming this means at least the prototype CCS build supported bidirectional...
Eh I would say this picture is a bit aggressive. In a world where you can adventure without going offroading I would say EX90 is plenty capable to not 'soccer mom' and be functional while the R1S will fill the niche of needing offroad capable. Granted at least 50% of R1S buyers will use it...
Sounds like they in combo with grease had to loosen something, move axle a bit(towards inner cv joint or outer CV joint?), then tighten something back up.

Eh - it's part of the CCS standard. I doubt that but it could be the case. Either way - the way the press release reads to me shows that they are more touting that their own personal architecture is super capable rather than existing is not capable.
Last year in an interview RJ said current trucks would support it with a special hardware required on the home side that they're working on. But no update since then.

Yeah just took a 290 mi trip yesterday at mostly speeds of 75-80 and had about 10 mi left, not bad! Then charged at home during off peak hrs and full(85%) when I woke up.
Yeah he did mention they're still planning out a solution, though it did sound like maybe the tonneau fix was close to deployment(mine is fine so not too worried about it)
I am 2.5 hrs from SC(ATL) and have had 2 mobile service visits(one for panel alignment, went great - other for Recall, Spare tire install, and squeaky axles, also went great). No problems so far.
