@AmerikanMatt , I do keep the portable in the frunk along with the Amazon adapter. Since I originally posted this, I’ve charged probably 20 times at the farm house using the dryer outlet on a 30A circuit. Works just fine. I might run a 50A someday and just buy another wall charger so I don’t...
@CharonPDX, I hope it works out for ya. I was in the same boat about 50 days ago (all over my guide to get this moving) and now my temp tag expires TODAY and I just talked to the DMV yesterday and they said they had to send the registration back to Rivian since there were numerous errors that...
^ Major process fail for sure. My tags expire in two days and the DMV just told me they finally received my T&R from Rivian last week and it contained numerous errors and had to be sent back to be corrected and resubmitted. I email my guide asking him to help out where he can but also gave...
I did nothing. I'm still considering some PPF or wrap type stuff for the purpose of making mine a little different visually then the rest of the white ones so I may end up having some at some point.
I haven't removed the panels, but I've been under mine a number of times now trying to figure out how boards might mount on. The issue I see is there is either (1) going to be cutting away the underbody plastic to allow boards to mount directly to the frame without plastic between them or (2)...
@LeDiable I’m on the south side of Ankeny by tractor supply. White w/22’s, broken tonneau cover :CWL:. Also in the same boat with reg, mine expire Thursday and I’ve been on my guides ass for two months now. They keep blaming the dmv for being slow and the dmv says they don’t have any reg...
Just my $.02 as you sound like me five months ago. I’m three months into my R1T. I’ve only owned trucks, Chevy, RAM, Mazda and Nissan, most recently a 2011 and 2019 RAM Laramie. The only thing I miss about the full size trucks is the room. That’s seriously it. I don’t know how I’ll feel in...
So just curious on this "bird" sound you got going. I've got a noise, like a squishing/creeking/griding. Is this the same or not? I swear mine is getting worse, too. Embarrassing.
I drive gravel quite a bit as well and always leave the tonneau wide open. About the best ya can do. My RAM was the same way but had a manual tonneau so I’m loving the electric.
I keep mine along with adapters and tow straps in a small tub in the gear tunnel. I got a towel in there that the hitches sit on so there's not metal on metal dinging around all the time.
Add me to the list (soon). I've been all over my guide for a status check of the registration submission by Rivian to the DMV. My temp tag expires on 9/16 so I'm trying to stay ahead of this. My guide was originally saying "we're on schedule to have this completed before the expiration date"...
:CWL: that would be a great get! I'm thinking $150'ish like the first R1T we seen come through. That said, I could see a trophy wife just flat out lay down the obligation that she needs to own it, if that happens who the heck knows where it'll finish..
Just curious, if the batteries are dead, what parts do they need to order? Are they some crazy Rivian only specific shape/size battery I take it or is there something else they're changing out?
Thought I seen it was supposed to be going out starting earlier this week. Figured someone would have seen it by now. I seem to be a week+ behind the early ones that see the updates first.
