  1. Are these panel gaps acceptable?

Actually the charge port door looks within spec but everything else is a hard no for me, I'd be forfeiting that VIN in a heartbeat. Who knows what else is wrong with it.
  2. Newest "Now You Know" Video focusing on 12v battery issues in Rivians

I don't really understand how you can call critiques of this video's position disingenuous. The evidence presented that there is a widespread software issue drain bug that is "bricking" 12 volt batteries based on ONE experience and ONE service technician is extremely amateur journalism...
  3. Blackvue camera(s) install. Will it drain the 12V batteries ?? Do I dare ???

Would love to know if anyone has successfully tapped under mirror or otherwise for constant power.
  4. Radar Detector hardwire, who has done it?

Just curious if anyone is using the under mirror tap to hard ware into constant power for a Blackvue or other dashcam? Thanks
  5. First R1S problem so far -- low pressure windshield fluid

Also have zero issues with ride comfort, it's lofty but planted and definitely not bouncy. I'd say the only issue I identify with is steering in straight line can require some due diligence, it's a little too responsive at highway speeds. I think they addressed that in the latest firmware coming...
  6. My Driver+ wish list

Being able to set the engage speed based on speed limit + 5 mph (customizable like Tesla) Not instantly correcting into center lane position when engaged causing a swerving event Ping ponging especially in curves Easier activation, sometimes it's finicky about lane position or duration since...
  7. R1S Forest Edge delivered with wood headrest surround removed.

Reminds me of when Tesla changed the headliner from alcantara to another fabric. I guess they are pissing off the least amount of people since it's so new but still.
  8. Anyone heard anything about San Jose, CA Service Center opening?

This will be a huge relief for the SF service center.
  9. R1S owners, what's your average mi/kWh so far?

I wonder if idle drain is reducing the number, has anyone checked that? It seems weirdly low but the mileage when I drove a great distance was EPA rated. Seems like the issue is short drives which with our Tesla was never a huge hit to rated range. Cold start should not be that big of a hit...
  10. R1S big butt - is it an issue for owners

I am 6' and have tons of head room in the 3rd row. Enough said
  11. Mini-review at 1500 miles (R1S)

Holy crap these are insane. None of these hardware issues on my R1S thankfully. All of the alignment is nearly perfect, the tailgate is maybe slightly having some panel gaps but that's me being overly picky. The software/nuance issues though are spot on. Hope they replace your vehicle.
  12. R1S Forest Edge delivered with wood headrest surround removed.

The wood is arguable the best interior feature of the forest edge. Really a bummer they cut corners there. I am going to put in a service ticket to see if ours can be replaced with the wood.
  13. FOREST GREEN R1T Photos

I honestly thought I'd hate the 21" tires but they are really growing on me, don't think I am going to take the covers off, you really only notice them if you are up close.
  14. Is this Forest Green??

That's the only way launch green looks good to me imo..
  15. Rivian maps are the worst if there is any traffic

Yep the navigation is horrendous, worse than Tesla by far. Regardless of traffic I am getting navigated weird ways home that make zero sense.
  16. Software Version 2023.02.0 [beta] -- Improved EPA range, key fob firmware, new door ajar notification, steering improvement & more...

Great updates! Can't wait to test it out. Wish they'd add an Alexa physical button press like Tesla, the amount of false positives
  17. 2022 vs 2023 Tax credit…Again

But what is the Send this to your CPA. Not pointing fingers but it seems some CPA do not stay "up to date" with all IRS concerns. It's broad and requires continuous education, that's why lots of CPA firms enroll their accountants in education/literacy programs to stay up to date...
  18. 2022 vs 2023 Tax credit…Again

Just received this from my CPA, she intends to file the credit in 2022 (signed BPA in Aug 2021, receiving delivery Feb 2023) This is coming from Spidell, a tax analysis and education resource many CPAs in the US use up through large accountancy firms.
