I read the entire thread. I don't know where you are drawing the conclusion that the federal tax credit does not apply to folks who signed the agreement Rivian sent in August 2022. The current guidance is unchanged and folks in my same position would be entitled to the $7,500 tax credit in 2023...

All shop cars are compatible with manual tonneau cover. They are not configured with that accessory added though, that would be purchased "sometime in 2023" from the shop.

That's my thought is that year end they shotgunned in guide calls to a broader scope and then they dialed it back when they reasonably could not fulfill those orders, so we got contacted too early. Most of us have received zero information since Nov 11 including no shop access

So apparently this is true and on top of that she used the wording "canceled orders" so these are apparently refused deliveries inclusive. I guess they are getting desperate to get numbers up end of year.. Definitely not taking a chance, plus she only had Forest Green interiors.
