Damn thats a lot of indicator lights!! I am just starting year #3 and 25,000+ miles with my R1T. Though I have had a few issues, nothing like the Christmas Lights that showed up on your dash. That being said, the service center near me (Richmond Va) has done an excellent job of taking care of me...
Thank you for being a help to your community! Awesome to see an R1T doing this. I have often wondered if we shouldn't create "Disaster Response Groups" within our Rivian communities:
-electrically powered kitchen for feeding a neighborhood / first responders in immediate aftermath.
- Charging...
I love this setup! I find the gear tunnel space exceedingly useful for storage and so have been hesitant to give it all up for the kitchen. The hitch mount (with the induction stove top and swing arm) seems ideal. For the stove, please be sure that the cord is long enough to allow options for...
I have been extremely happy with my first gen R1T. Some of the refresh items certainly tickle my desire to be on the leading edge but after a lot of math and other ruminating I just committed to keeping my truck longer. Have a planned out build to help make off-roading and camping easier with...
I just installed the EV Sportline CarPlay screen this morning and I have to tell you, its pretty sweet. Wires can be easily hid under the dash (there is a user thread here that shows that installation version and it is definitely better than the one EV Sportline put up) and it practically looks...
Did this in less than an hour. Slightly different in running in that it went under the weather stripping in the door as that side panel was recalcitrant and seemed like it would require excessive force to open.
This is SO MUCH better looking than the other carplay unit I had!!
So that's interesting. What i am assuming to be my screen then is lost by UPS (investigation opened but no resolution now on day #6 - and yes I know there are holidays in there) but I have not received any bracket by fed ex.
Should note here that EVSportline started also trying to track this down for me as soon as they got back from Christmas Break. Just wanted folks to know this was not on them.
Ahhh if only! (he says happy for you and jealous at the same time, lol) Usually, getting to a human solves most issues. When you don't meet them/know them yo uar e stuck with UPS' super frustrating and non functional phone-bot.
So when I got my first notice that this had shopped I was ecstatic. It was supposed to arrive on the 23rd and I thought, "Wow, that will be great"
Also, EV Sportline chose to use UPS. The only thing that UPS does worse than deliver packages is customer service. So here I am, 2 hours in to...
I have been asked some odd questions in parking lots and I do my best to just give a non-emotional, non-politicized answer no matter what. Now, I have never had anyone be outright rude or aggressive with me over the EV vs ICE and all of that. I always try to remember how when i had my first EV...
Just wanted to give a follow up - Went out this week and it was easy as pie! (Though, if you’ve ever made a pie, thats not so easy.)
Aired down to about 22 psi, dropped it in sand mode off I went. On the ocean side of the dunes I found sand mode really restrictive as other vehicles swept past...
Thank you, this is very helpful! - I have done offroading more than a few times and never had an issue, but then I was with friends and also just have a higher experience / comfort level with that versus sand. I do have recovery boards and an air down valve.
So next week I will be in Corolla, NC for annual beach week. Am contemplating taking the R1T out on the sand. have also seen pics / heard horror stories of R1Ts digging themselves into the beach and having to be towed. Any experience in this group? Any suggestions or tips?
