For anything more than a simple point A to point B trip that is less than 225 miles, the Nav in the truck is pretty much useless. I do many road trips and have owned four EVs so far. Now, each EV has its own quirks and we as the owners have to learn those and drive/plan accordingly, but that...
Truly, the navigation is bad and needs some work (or just let us use one of the others out there that works? BUying ABRP raised everyone's hopes - but most people with a longer EV ownership history are using their phone to navigate multistop road trips.
Please add off roading app? All trails...
Loved this post! Excellent formatting and pics! Have done some solo camping in my R1T and I am in love with it. Couldn't agree more about camp leveling.... Keep posting and thank you, picked up a few tips and thoughts from this to make my own camping experience better.
I couldn't get the tech to come out so was mostly talking to the public facing guy who is always in the office managing the computers... when I asked he said there was a "customer satisfaction bulletin" that came up when he entered my VIN and so they "updated" the 12v.... I dug a little but...
Please note before you read on - I LOVE THIS TRUCK and have had a ton of fun in it. The items below would add to that enjoyment and I am in no way trying to be a complainer
Navigation:
1. Just overall improvements. Its usefulness is very spotty and so subpar compared to other apps that using...
So here we are at the end of week three since this started...
Let me lead off by saying in spite of how ling it has been, the Richmond service center really has been great. The first week it was in the SC I had a rental courtesy of them and it took that week to get the initial diagnostics done...
I also cast my vote for AA/CarPlay.
I LOVE THE TRUCK - the things it can do and the places I hvae gone that I would have never made with my other EVs. The Nav/InfoTainment (text messaging) and other lacks are very frustrating. I have owned 4 EV’s now and this is the only one that has such a...
They are still working on a final diagnosis on mine - SC in Richmond (which has been great to deal with but are also very backlogged) states there is a harness issue, but that there are other errors that they are trying to figure out as well. Still waiting and am fortunately traveling for...
After a long time feeling good about my relatively small list of issues and still functioning tonneau cover I went out to go to work and got the dreaded "Critical battery issue" warning when I got in the truck. Went through all of resets and sleep cycle but warning is still there. SO... Tow...
Contemplating adding the RoadTop... Very much miss the ease of use for CarPlay and would love to have AllTrails access as well. LOVE MY R1T and not trading it in or even considering such, but would like to enhance my ownership experience with the infotainment items that could be available
Is anyone using RoadTop or similar system that would post about experience and set up? The current phone interface (even after the latest OTA update) is just so lacking and I am wondering if there is a suitable solution that takes it out of the Rivian Software Engineers hands.
Totally agree that burying things in the menus like that was a poor choice and under use of the HUGE screen space available. Does anyone at Rivian watch these threads??
I have owned the Audi e-tron and e-tron RSGT, also a model S plaid and I find the vampire drain very similar between them all. You can, of course, make a difference in the amounts based on the settings you have for gear guard and such but essentially, I do not see a huge difference percentage...
