I work in the industry a HP is only more efficient than resistant heating as stated earlier in the posts. This is a fact. For cooling it is literally the same as an AC unit.
What I have only seen 1 person post and it is the most important factor in EV efficiency increase is the implementation...
Not a dumb question.
without rotation $100
with rotation $160.
I recommend doing it at a SC as they lift the R1 vs mobile where they jack each wheel up. But if you can’t get in to a SC mobile works. Call the service number to request. Ask for express service.
We actually don't know the logic they are using in the blending mode. It could come on sooner or be active and you would never know since you would not be alerted. If you keep it off, you know when you are using brakes as in you have to press the pedal and the warning regenerative breaking...
No always used high regen. When you have blended braking on in settings where brakes are used when regen is not available you have no clue when brakes are being used. To really be sure turning this setting of insures the only time breaks are used are when you press the break pedal.
When I rotate them they are rebalanced. No wobble bump or worst ride. Car tracks straight without touching wheel. I would be interested to know what your tires read at the inspection. Also what size rim and tire do you have?
On mine at my first tire oration at 5k miles I asked about the total tread depth left, right and center. All were the same, My alignment has been spot on.
Never stated a fact other than what the service center said they are seeing. Again, the comment came from the head tech it's on all factory rim tire combo. Maybe its conserve mode maybe not, In my case its not, but to go from 10/32 where the tires start to 6/32 in 9k miles the replacement window...
I use conserve 0.000 % of the time on my QM and the calculated life will be 22k miles with rotation every 5k miles. I drive 100% in all purpose very chill. Alignment is perfect also.
The comment they made related to 16-20k change life was all original rim tire setup no matter the size. I happen to have the 21” and at the calculate mileage and wear I’ll get 22k before needing replacement at 2/32.
Normally $160 with tire rotation. Removed the rotation and was $100.
it can be done morally and you do need to make an appointment but I recommend taking to a service center. Call the support number and ask for express service. They will do it while you wait in 1hr or less.
Thats what I thought also when they mentioned that. He did say at first $1k but said that was with goodwill and regular cost is $2k per axel. The good news is I won't need replacements if it keeps at this pace till 110k miles or so. Thats even If I have the truck by then.
@DKM_R1S I never saw if your R1S is a DM or QM This would be really helpful to know. Also have you had the R1S to service for the 7,500 mile inspection assuming you have that much milage on the R1?
So I just took my 2023 R1T in for the 7,500 mile service, currently at 9k due to scheduling and here are some details.
Service Location: Costa Mesa Service Center
Service Type: Express service. This is something new they are offering where you wait, and the work is done in less than 1 hr...
So, I think the issue is not that they don't want to offer it but with the new battery configuration the MAX is actually = to old large in total power output, density increased on the new pack so they can use less total cells. This is the reason you could not get a QM with a smaller pack. This...
