Seems to reflect Wall Street consensus that it is worth buying at the current level. Good summary of recent developments re: VW and production numbers

Edit: fixed link, also it seems to be a republished Barchart analysis...
I use the built in nav on my Kia EV6 most of the time, and yeah the only AA apps I use are mostly music and podcasts - so yeah between native Spotify app and Bluetooth connectivity I would miss AA on a Rivian but not a deal breaker
So I guess Gen 2 Standard really does not have high regen, and the bug was that it got accidentally removed from Gen 1 Standard as well...
I wonder what it is about the new LFP battery that does not support high regen. Hopefully just a precaution until they have more data from cars in the field?
Makes sense, the feedback loop should be easier to process with a large customer - and they also have the capacity to handle unexpected issues better. Whereas as an individual consumer, if your vehicle needs to be recalled...
Their new EX30 (which is selling very well in the EU) is, in fact, delayed in the US because the new tariffs are working (EU is also increasing tariffs, so Volvo plans to relocate production to Belgium then ship from there to the US)
What surprised me the most was BMW doing a joint venture with...
@Yossarian and have a Tesla L2 adapter too. I recently stayed in a hotel with one J1772 charger and two Tesla destination chargers - the Tesla ones always have at least one available but there's a queue for the J1772 one!
Luckily it worked out - I kept checking every few hours, managed to get...
Rivian could try implementing what Hyundai/Kia/Genesis does - display the new speed limit, prompt the driver to accept this for a few seconds (by flicking the speed adjuster up or down as appropriate) after which the prompt expires
Cruise control always starts at current speed, then it...
Assuming R2 is not late, first half 2026. Do it!
EX90 is a 3 row SUV like the R1S though. Why not that one? The R2 equivalent is probably the Polestar 4 and whatever the Volvo equivalent is, though the P4 is more of a 'tall wagon' than a real offroading SUV
Parking wise... what I hate is when parking diagonally, and having to back out into a two way road without a divider in the middle. It will keep thinking cars coming in the other direction are in the way!
Those are the only times I can remember it slamming the brakes on me
The seatbelt...
On my EV6 this gets fixed in one of the OTAs - It now only puts up a warning screen the first time this is attempted per drive.
OP - thanks for a thorough comparison! I am looking to eventually downsize from EV6 to something R3 sized (or a sedan) and much of the comparisons should be applicable
Thanks! So far the only things I'm going to miss are automatic regen (regen level adjusts based on traffic) and regen paddles - but I guess a test drive will tell if I will miss them that much.
And yeah the lack of instrument cluster or HUD is a deal breaker for me. Having only one is OK...
Ah... just realized for R1 it goes FWD in conserve mode (even though for the tri-motor it's the rear that gets two motors). Still, you *can* get R2 and R3 in RWD only though, so I wonder if the dual- and tri-motor will be RWD biased unlike the R1...
Oof... looking up 'TCAM Volvo' definitely shows up a lot of issues (with Polestar too).
Lovely! Yeah, I've been skimming the forum since yesterday and people seem mostly happy which is great to hear (and Rivian seems to be making good iterative improvements on Gen2). Now if only they finally...
Oof, getting stranded is not fun. What was the actual issue? I wonder if it's similar to the ICCU problem that plagued some HMG cars (both the Ioniq 5 and the EV6). Got lucky I managed to get the recall updates done before anything broke - fingers crossed - or maybe mine was not affected at all...
