Great!
No worries, the kit’s installed solid as is. The extra cable just gonna make it more tidy.
Thanks again for going the extra “length” to help me out. 😉
This kit is good to go 👍🏼.
I wish there’s an option to get longer (video) cable because I wanted to run from under the bumper and follow the hitch for cleaner install. An extra 2 feet of the video cable would have covered the whole run.
That’s good to know, thanks for the quick reply.
Looks like the center cap version is on “pre-order” - what’s the ETA on those?
If it takes months - I might just go with the hitch version.
I am waffling between the Hitch-mounted (RiG’D) or the Spare wheel-mounted version onto an R1S.
Is there an advantage for either one - maybe better camera view/angle because of location?

As mounted (see pictures).
That is at standard height suspension which clears the top of my head (5’8”).
You can also mount the awning a little forward so that there is more room for the rear hatch door to open up before it hits the angled rear arms of the awning, or raise the suspension to...
I thought of that but no sliding yet.
I repurposed my old RhinoRack cross bar and will put it in between the Rivian cross bars with another mounting bracket onto the awning. This cross bar is closed at the end with lock.
Mounted 270 awning to OEM crossbars.
The awning is 84x10x8 inches at 64 lbs.
Front to back, the 1st-2nd crossbars are 36 inches and 2nd-3rd are 27 inches apart.
I am going to place another crossbar in the middle to make the mount sturdier, and so that I can place my RhinoRack cargo box on top of...
“And the chucks actually fit in the VERY tiny space around the valves” - thanks for this bit of info.
We have the same wheels and yep those recessed valves are PITA to reach.
Do the chucks snap-in or screw-in the air valve?
