As far as priorities, my small family would be consider by some as minimalistic. But any home improvements we do are of a higher quality nature. We save a lot of money by doing what some folks would need to pay others for. So I guess its helpful to have some skills. :D

Does Rivian not expose the health of the 12v battery to the customer? I wouldn't be surprised that the 12v is root cause for the avalanche of errors the OP had.

Up here in the north east, had a winter storm yesterday which froze up the folded up side mirrors. Being concerned that the motors would break, I disabled the auto opening and closing of the mirrors. Is that common practice for us northern folks?
