It's definitely my experience that showroom employees in any manufacturer know very little and are the last to know much of anything. I wouldn't trust this a bit.
The problem here is the car has gps.. and I guarantee they geolocate it based on more than just the incoming ip if they're smart in the least.. and we know they are :)
If this goes anything like Tesla, if you're in an unsupported country -- you are unsupported :(
In Canada my AT&T sim roamed over to Bell. Even if you get cell service I would suspect the GPS showing you there would be a problem.
Also to what I was getting at 120V is ~80% efficient (20% burned off in heat/inefficiencies) whereas the 240V is typically around 90-97% efficient.
It's not much in the micro, but it certainly adds up in the macro.
1-2 hours can be the difference on a long commute vs not having to fast charge. But I hear you.

you actually do it with the Tesla One installer app or the Tesla app itself now by connecting to an ssid the wall connector broadcasts.
Gen2 had the dip switches, Gen3 (including the universal) do it via software.

CCS2 is superior to CCS1... the Mennekes connector is much better than J1772. So while they endure it, they also had a better form factor to begin with.

But your statement makes it read like you're saying people could only buy FSD in 2018, it was available for purchase long beyond that with HW3.
