We have dash cams in both our G2 R1S and Sierra EV. Both are powered 24/7. The R1S is through the OBD II port and the Sierra is through an always hot fuse tap. Neither have created any 12v issues in the several months they have been installed.
I'm guessing you have never owned or driven a performance RWD vehicle. My '08 M3 was an absolute blast, especially with Blizzack winter tires in deep snow.
Our '25 R1S is a little over a year old and we need the cargo and towing capacity or we'd be all over the LE in launch green. They nailed it! I feel like we should buy some stock.
I am also in Kansas City. I'd like to buy a complete set of Rivian 20" wheels. I'd pay a premium for a set of graphite Dune wheels.
Pop an ad on FB Marketplace and they will eventually sell. Maybe to several different people.
We just switched our home and autos to State Farm. Autos were with USAA previously. $1045 for six months for our '25 R1S Tri and '26 Sierra EV AT4. Missouri policy with 300/500/100 and matching UM/UIM. $0 comprehensive deductible and $500 collision deductible. Emergency roadside and rental...
Rivian needs to walk a fine line on these out of warranty costs. Our R1S is the most expensive vehicle we've ever purchased by far. We justified the purchase on keeping it for ten years. If it cost us a fortune to maintain it out of warranty, we'll look elsewhere come replacement time.
We still have the R1S. I lemon lawed our Lightning back to Ford and bought the Extended Range AT4. Overall I like it better than the Lightning. GM has a lot of work to do on the Software end. I forget my FOB 90% of the time I get in the truck which is infuriating. PAAK is mentioned in the...
Ha I agree the Silverado EV is goofy looking. We have the Sierra AT4 which is much better looking IMHO. Received a complement today that it was a great looking truck. That was from the dog walker at the old folk's home so she obviously has taste :CWL:
When we bought our Tri in Jan of 2025 it was approx 6k more than than the DMP equipped the same. I'm fairly confident it will bring more than 6k in resale vs a DMP and we get to enjoy the Ascend interior.
