  1. Can I Keep My R1T From Sleeping

Someone on here or a reddit thread said leaving their tailgate open while camping was a huge battery drain... so that might work too haha. But camp mode always on, and the seatbelt sounds like a better idea.
  2. Lane Keep Assist Software Update 2024.19.04

It thinks a lot of cracks/gaps in the road are also lane lines. With perfect striping and daylight conditions it works great, but that’s not real life. I kept the warming on that vibrates the steering wheel but it almost feels like it nudges it so I might turn it off.
  3. Lane Keep Assist Software Update 2024.19.04

I turned mine off too, kept trying to swerve me into other cars or off the road. It sees lane lines that don't exist. You can disable it in the Driver+ settings.
  4. Securing Rivian with Phone or Fob inside?

I've taken my key card in the lake already and have no issues. Locked my phone in the truck, and brought the key card with me. I also had a shortcut on my Apple Watch to unlock the truck.
  5. Bring back Conserve Mode Towing

Screw conserve mode, I want a RWD only burnout mode.
  6. Glass roof cover

I tinted my windshield and it makes a difference. Granted I'm in a R1T and not S, but at 110 degrees f so far, so good. My Land Rover also has a glass roof and the IR rejection on this one seems better.
  7. Camp Speaker Love-Hate Relationship

Same here, have zero issues with it except that it pairs to my phone randomly all the time, and starts pumpin out music at 4am. So I have also resorted to unpairing/forgetting it on my Bluetooth settings.
  8. HOLD at stoplight, is it same as having foot on brake?

If you read the Motortrend article on tow charging their Rivian, they had issues with auto hold just absolutely slamming on the brakes. So yes it’ll keep trying to stop the vehicle, even with external forces applied. The system does not want you to roll away.
  9. Gen 2 R1S (DM / Standard) delivery scheduled in 10 days - some questions

They don't have a conserve mode. The rear axle disconnect is automatic.
  10. Gen2s Missing Onboard Air Compressors

I have the M12 inflator, and it it's great for topping off any "normal" sized tire, but if you're airing down and then back up it's not the correct tool. Takes too long to even air up a 31" tire from 20-36 PSI.
  11. Gen2s Missing Onboard Air Compressors

True, not to mention the hose that doesn't fit easily in the bag.
  12. Gen2s Missing Onboard Air Compressors

Going to disagree, and I'm a Milwaukee fan that does have their air compressor. On board air is always there, doesn't need batteries, and doesn't take up any additional space. However, most people will never use it.
  13. Poll: Should Rivian offer Apple CarPlay?

Wishlist: Audio streaming through USB-C Waze On X (For off road maps) That's really it. Apple Music was on there, but it's coming so that's resolved thankfully. I could go either way with CarPlay, but Rivians native UI looks amazing.
  14. Rivians in hot weather -- experience / tips?

We're still warming up here in Phoenix, but my R1T has been great. Sounds like the R1S is more of an issue. I have a Land Rover LR4 which also has a glass roof, and the AC on that vehicle isn't strong enough sometimes. 15% tint on the front windows, and 70% on the windshield. XPEL Prime XR on...
  15. Battery Overheating???

Did your battery get a chance to precondition much beforehand? I used the Quartzsite and Sedona RAN's this past week and didn't come close to those temps at all. At the end of charging my battery was 115 degrees. Before it preconditioned down to about 90. This was on a large pack. What battery...
  16. Creative ways to extend range and/or charge your Rivian

Tow charging if you have a friend with a capable vehicle and are about to be screwed.
  17. First off road adventure, and a Jeep recovery

Hey I live right nearby you! What trail is that? I haven't had a chance to off road my R1T yet, but figured I'll try something different than I've done before.
  18. Changing in the rain

Oh my bad. Had just woken up and didn't really fully read the post haha. None the less, you can charge in the rain while you change in shelter!
  19. Changing in the rain

You don’t need to do anything special to charge in the rain. J1772/CCS plugs are designed for it. Edit: I don't know how to read.
