I noticed they added the tri-motor to the notes on that in the manual. Won't be surprised if the new quads are the same way as so far all the gen 2s are.
i assume you meant all purpose. This is intended behavior according to the owners manual. 4 hours since your last drive it reverts to all purpose and auto ride height. I too wish it would stay where I set it.
Definitely a more relaxed feel in all purpose (which I actually like better) but in sport it still really fast, can hardly tell the difference. Range is the more complicated question. Gen 2 definitely seems more efficient, I can get well over 2mi/kwh which seemed to be struggle for the gen 1...
I recently traded my 22 Quad for a 25 dual large. So far no issues , I'm very happy and it has exceed my expectations. Build quality is better than my 22 was. New cameras are awesome and i can barely hear the motors vs the quad where I definitely could. Heat pump is definitely more efficient.
My gen 2 heat pump makes about the same noise as my gen 1 HVAC but less vibration and I can barely hear it in the cab. It makes the most noise when it's really cold makes less noise as it warms up.
Mine is Dual Performance Large. Also, wonder if it's only there because they haven't removed my 22 yet, but I was able to select which vehicle in shortcuts and it works.
If you have an iPhone you can setup an automation in the shortcuts app to "Start climate control" at a specific time. I set 2 for M-F to start climate about 15 min before I exception to leave for work and to go home.
TLDR: Stop worrying and enjoy your Gen 2 when it arrives.
My initial impressions, so far I have not heard the heat pump at all unless i'm standing right in front of the truck. (Gen 1 was way noisier). It was 34 this morning. Gen 2 has much less motor noise, virtually silent. Ride quality...
I'm trading my 22 Gen 1 Quad for a 25 get 2 dual large in Rivian blue tomorrow! Kyle complained about gen 1 charging too but I never noticed issues with mine. My gen 1 gets crazy loud when pre-conditioning, but normal A/C use was fine. I don't know if I'll be able to make a good compression...
I used a similar setup to charge at my uncle’s house on a trip. Be aware unless Rivian has changed it. It will default back to 48 amps at the end of charging. If you resume charging it will already have defaulted back to 48 amps. So if you are finished I’d unplug before using climate or...
Yep, I'd love an electric boat but until someone can make a 17 ft bow rider that can maintain 30 mph for min. 2 hours and sell it for under $30k will keep my 17' ft. Bayliner and 90 hp Mercury FourStroke as my only gas burning item left. Towed with my R1T of course!
For me this is most important:
Fixed a very rare issue that impacted charging at cold temperatures for some vehicles with large-pack batteries.
This has been a bummer, service center had my truck for a week over Christmas's and replaced the onboard charger before they realized it's just a...
Most of the time at home. Probably 10-20 ft. I park outside pulled up to the garage door. My living room is next to the garage and I’m frequently in the room above the garage. My truck would initially lock and then unlock later. Sometimes locking and unlocking as I moved around. So I just...
It works fine, just not for me. I’m too close to my truck at home and I tried off at home and it just annoyed me having to use the fab at home and not when out.
