No, you are not.
I am not sure why they did not use the fender cams. I love the feature in the Y, big, bright picture of far more than the mirror can see.
The Rivian offering not-so-much.
Oh well, it is progress none-the-less.
I'm betting that this iteration does not last long. Yellow draws your attention to areas that need attention, whether it's a tire pressure or a motor temp or a low battery. Splashing yellow all over the place for general settings leaves you with out that useful tool where it's really needed.
Where to start?
Lol.
I guess I will start with the fact that the color yellow has a 100-year history representing " caution", you are approaching critical zones. Yellow on your temperature, yellow on your power output should caution you that you are approaching red; yellow not good, red bad...
The presser we attended last week had an off road course where they showed off the prowess of the gen 2 off road. They only let us drive the DMs on that course, admitting that the differential equipped R1's were better suited for the off-road terrain, and helped negate the stall issues.
There...
Rivian has unequivocally conceded that diffs are better off-road, and I would expect factory lockers from them to compete with the trail Boss and the at4.
With the current DM setup having been used for only one model a year, I doubt that anybody is going to end up offering an aftermarket solution.
Everyone delivers defective cars.
I too have had great luck with Tesla's but some of those were delivered defective as well.
Frustrating for sure, but Rivian has been pretty good about fixing the issues I have had.
Atomic AT10's with Toyo M/T's on them. Trading truck, so make offer. I am in Southern Oregon ATM.
I already have 21's as well, so can't trade with ya....
At the presser last week Rivian touted improvements to the R1's off road behavior, and allowed us to drive the new machines on a controlled off-road coarse. They had a variety of flavors there, but every one of them was a DM. We will see if any of the many Ub-Tubers that were there caught the...
Ugg. This new UI is awful; it looks like a child's game. Like software for a small child, not even a teen.
Maybe this is Rivian's way of encouraging me to move on.
?
Ok, will do.
Obviously the Denali will _not_ be used/tested as an off-roader. It will be used as the tow/support rig. I'm looking forward to getting back to a full size pickup bed, as well as the ability to run a 240 volt welder off the substantial pack the GMC comes with.
But first order of...
My Sierra Denali EV is scheduled for production the 15th of July.
The R1's have been a fun test, but a week with a Silverado RST EV really puts GM's experience in truck building into sharp relief with the companies that are just getting started.
With GM building a full sized truck that is a...
