After installing 2025.22.30 today and attempting to charge in the middle of the day at home, the highest I could charge was at 24 amps. As I mentioned before I have a schedule that allows charging overnight, but I did press the charge now button. The charge started at 24 amps and the option to...
No progress yet. I provided the details that Tesla requested, and I have not heard back. I also opened a new service request with Rivian and provided them with more details including pictures and video.
I just bought the Weathertech one for my 2025 R1S. In my opinion, it uses high quality materials, but I am not a fan of how it fits over the recessed cargo area. It is what it is, I haven't found one that does it well yet.
I love Canada, I visit many times a year for business and vacation. I am not knocking Canada in any way, shape or form. The problems are mostly on my side of the border.
I agree that A2ZEV customer service has stepped up and I edited my original post accordingly. I really appreciate their flexibility. Given the current political climate, I am still concerned about purchasing across borders, but A2ZEV is definitely trying to help. Their adapter seems great; it...
I was traveling and I was not home to use it. A 14-day return window is relatively small. The device is not defective, and it does seem well made. In my opinion, the adapter is larger than expected/I like. I use a Tesla Universal Connector at home and the adapter it has built-in is compact...
I'm not questioning the quality of the A2ZE, just their return window and the difficultly returning to the Canada from the US. That said, their customer service has been courteous and they are now trying to work with me on a return.
I don't know a lot about Lenz. They are based in California...
My experience is based mostly on the fact that I am based in the US and A2ZEV is in Canada. US buyers may experience customer service issues. A 14 day return window is also very short.
EDIT ******************
This thread has taken an interesting turn. I should have been more specific in my original post, so I am editing now to ensure clarity. I apologize for the confusion. A2ZEV is being extra flexible and allowing me to ship back on my upcoming trip to Canada to save a...
Thanks for the suggestions. I don’t want to limit to 32 amps, as that is a workaround, rather than a fix. I know from personal experience that two Teslas can charge at the same time with no issues. Allowing the full 48 amps when available on either car at any time should work.
Rivian mobile service came today and fixed my squeaky door handles. He was great, but did not have any suggestions or information on the charging issues. I will try to contact Rivian by phone tomorrow.
Rivian mobile service is coming tomorrow. I will provide an update tomorrow afternoon.
I see the same issue when my Model 3 wakes up. That's why I "hard-coded" charging windows in all my cars. The Tesla's can charge during the day, the Rivian only at night. It works, but not ideal.
That's a lot of juice, really no need to load balance in that config. Your vehicles would not drop pull during charging, so you wouldn't experience this issue. Thanks for the info!
Thanks, I did read through that, but I wasn't super clear on how the tent attaches to the Rivian branded cargo crossbars. It looks like the tent bolts to the Rivan cargo crossbars, but that seems less than ideal.
