I can confirm, like a few others, that I had success with the BlendMount BMG-3032 and a mirror tap on my 2025 R1S. Here are some pictures of the completed install. Thanks to everyone for sharing the information!
Thanks for the detailed troubleshooting. I will be returning from vacation soon. I also opened a service request with Rivian. Did anyone else do that? The person I spoke with said he would put in a feature request.
Mine shows zero as well. In the Tesla app there is a setting to set your electricity provider/cost for home and work. I see no way to do this with Rivian.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I agree with you, but I still have the ticket open with Tesla. When the problem happens I can see on the screen the amperage is dropping in the Rivian, but like you said, it’s not smooth/fast enough.
I am going to contact Rivian and see what they say as well.
I tried compatibility mode, same problem. When the Rivian is plugged in second the group power management works fine. I will try two Teslas when I get home from vacation.
I picked up my R1S from the factory on Saturday and noticed the loud noise the door handles make right away. I have a service appointment set for a couple of weeks out.
I did chat with Tesla support today. Not much help. When I get back I need to test charging the Rivian at 10amps. Not sure what that will prove. I already told them that if I force 24amps everything works. If I charge from the gen 3 wall connector first it works. The error occurs when the Rivian...
The universal wall connector is firmware version 25.10.1 and the gen 3 wall connector is version 25.18.0. The gen 3 is about 4 years old, the universal is brand new.
I have not experienced the “panic” yet.
I setup all the power sharing options in the Tesla One app. 60amp circuit, 48 amp max.
Agreed, this should work as designed. Plus, I don’t want to be constantly switching cars. As it is I have 4 EV’s and can only charge two at a time.
Calling is a good suggestion. I will see what they can do.
One charger is a Tesla Wall Connector Gen3 the other is the Tesla Universal Wall Connector. They are configured to leverage group power management and share the same circuit, so they both support load sharing. The Gen3 is the leader, and the universal is the follower. I have tried both ways...
Leveraging the schedule I referenced in my first post, I charged at 48amps for over 3 hours last night. As long as there is no other vehicle plugged in, the charging is fine. That said, that defeats the purpose of power sharing.
Hello all, I am very new here. I have been a Tesla driver since 2018 but switched to Rivian yesterday. That said, I still have several Tesla's. In my garage I have a Gen 3 Wall Connector that is the leader to a new Tesla Universal Charger (shared 60amp circuit). When I try to charge my new...
