I could see how you could walk away thinking the R1T wasn't as fast if you didn't actually floor it. There's a ton of play in the lower range in normal mode for daily driving. But when we floored it at First Mile in Normal, in normal mode, it was like being on one of those L-shaped magnetic...
That's the OP's own take on it. The Hummer makes roughly the same acceleration as the Rivian IF you give it a minute to warm up first. Not kidding. It needs to prime the battery or some-such. No idea what it's legit 0 to 60 from a standstill is but it's clearly not 3 seconds.
Rear wheel steering is pretty neat. Also, probably the reason the old pricing just disappeared. I wonder if they also went to motor per wheel or if this is Tesla's answer to that.
I think the CT unveil had nothing to do with what is ultimately launched for the Cybertruck and everything to do with the R1T at the time. Its top price was exactly Rivian's lowest tier price, prior to the price drop that followed in Jan 2020. IMO, it's abundantly clear Musk had no realistic...
Well, R1s are really heavy for their size compared to ICE so maybe not as much as you'd expect to need to. They definitely aired down for sand at Rebelle though.
Might be helpful to know why you think that. I'm not an experienced off-roader but I've had a test drive. IMO, if it can clear it, it can handle it. The immediate torque and 4-motor handling over rocks is a trip.
Damn, so 7200 a month out the gate? That's badass. I might have to upgrade to the max pack so I have more time to get a big enough down payment I can be happy with.
WTH does "According to Bloomberg via Tesalarati " mean? And no link? Was this a phone conversation between "Tesalarati" and Bloomberg? This is sloppy AF. Also, I've seen Bloomberg shill for hedgefunds. They're no more reliable a source than Teslarati, although seems a little early for them to be...
We're probably months out from all the accessories for the R1S being released but third party roof rack spare holders are cheap. I don't see any happy solution for integrating the space into the vehicle like they did with the R1T. What do you want to lose? Interior cargo space? Seats? Battery?
To reply to a lot of questions/thoughts, the interior colors in person are more neutral than they appear in the configurator. By which I mean they look great but I don't think any interior would look particularly weird with any particular exterior color. And the wood looks much nicer than in the...
Question from another test-driver. Are you like me, now completely re-baffled as to what exterior/interior color options you want after seeing them in person?
Sorry. MIssed this.
9.5. Mindblowing experience, but there are little things here and there that could use refinement. Camera is functional but kinda basic and I was disappointed you can only get it on the center screen. UI seems decent but I suspect they're not going as high tier as Tesla on...
Not expecting mine for months, but I still think it's little cheesy they said September launch and then made employee-only deliveries at the very end of the month. Not very Rivian of Rivian. Shoulda just delayed to whatever they actually needed to delay. They're not even at a year yet so a good...
