I donât think a lot of people appreciate how long Rivian have been at it for. They were in stealth mode for more than 10 years prior to launch. Yes, theyâll be learning lessons by observing Tesla but donât think itâs fair to say Tesla gave us Rivian.
There seems to be permitting issues and delays but this does seem like a great suggestion of yours!
Reminiscent of their Normal factory rehabilitation!
If they drop the Model X to that price eeek they have a big demand problem.
I agree with the view that Tesla are needing price drops to encourage demand, and I bet theyâre enjoying the side benefit of putting pressure on other EV makers.
lol, did you just pull those numbers from you know where?
At the end of this year, their production could be humming after ramping enduro/LFP, get a few more quarters to show a better GP trend (current lithium prices are a bonus), and the biggie external factor - the risk Cybertruck disappoints...
Didnât mean to mess with your delivery expectations! I was just referring to the Amazon van production line which âshouldâ now be running with enduro which they mentioned on their last earnings call. You may want to read their last quarterly shareholder letter as itâs informative and concise. I...
I hope you enjoyed whatever you smoked when you wrote this. RJ is a class act and impressively competent across engineering, product development, brand/marketing, finances and capital market issues. I suggest you listen to the how I built this podcast with RJ.
Interesting feedback!
I think there is actually more downside risk for cybertruck and more upside for Rivian/R1T.
By year end, Rivian will be likely humming with production, introduced enduro and apparently theyâre planning EOY changes, might even get close to revealing details on R2T...
Completely agree. It sucks, and I hear you say other R1Ss have been delivered but I reckon itâs due to R1S being a step behind R1T. It does look like this is changing so I hope you get your R1S sooner rather than later.
Hey Tim,
Have you actually asked Rivian for a refund?
Iâm sure theyâd take the vehicle off your hands given how unhappy you are.
Agree with other posters itâs odd the sound wasnât immediately obvious. Itâs basically one of the first things I test in a new car.
And a heads up to avoid Tesla...
I can see youâre being half serious, but given theyâve been in production for just over a year and continue to build out infrastructure, I think Rivian has done a great job from a service perspective.
Consider Tesla - late last year a prominent financial analyst shared his feelings on ordering...
Agree!! I think he might have an underlying agenda because his points donât stack up or are simply false (as you pointed out).
I hope the folks at Rivian donât read these types of comments and get discouraged.
They have built everyday - affordable - supercars, and by all accounts people are...
Accidents and damage to vehicles is always upsetting and stressful, but I like to hear stories when both parties are nice about it, which seems to be case here :)
Donât think itâs fair for those with long waits not to disclose their order and situation. If someone is waiting on letâs say max, which has been specifically delayed, and the customer opts to wait, I donât think itâs fair to say Rivian is focusing on post March 22 orders at the expense of pre...
