  1. Why isn't our Gen2 updating?

I hope so. Either way, there's nothing in this update I want that badly to deal with possibly ending up with what sound like annoying bugs. The last update took a 10 day visit to the service center to fix the problems it surfaced. I'm going to be much more discriminating about when I choose...
  2. Colorado Checking In

It took me an appeal and 4 months to get my tax credit for 2023, despite attaching all the same items I included with the appeal to the tax return I originally filed. They have an automated system that kicks out a lot of valid credits, despite them saying everything is working as it should.
  3. Why isn't our Gen2 updating?

I haven't either (C+ subscriber), but not in a rush. I actually may skip this update - not excited to possibly end up with the delayed proximity unlock bug or bass decrease. I'm pretty happy with .24 after my last 10 day service visit, lol.
  4. Colorado Checking In

One thing is for sure, they keep trying. Regardless of political viewpoints, when it comes down to it, people have a real hard time voting for a tax increase statewide. Denver and Boulder have no problems voting their sales tax into the sky though it seems, even though Denver did vote down...
  5. Colorado Checking In

Luckily CO has TABOR, which essentially means overall tax collections can't increase over inflation. That keeps CO's spending in check since they can't just increase taxes without voter approval, but they are being more creative in who pays the tax through credits and income adjustments...
  6. Colorado Checking In

Not sure, but there's nothing in the instructions for the DR0617 that provides for an additional amount over and above what shown on the Department of Revenue guidance (at least for 2024, 2025 not released yet https://tax.colorado.gov/sites/tax/files/documents/DR_0617_2024_0.pdf ). Edit - never...
  7. Colorado Checking In

The $350 is likely some other program, rather than the innovative motor vehicle/truck credit. I'm not sure, as I've always claimed the credits on my tax return, rather than having it passed through to me as a discount from the dealer. I hadn't seen the projections for the 2026/2027 credit, but...
  8. Colorado Checking In

Oh this isn't the tax credit. This is the vehicle exchange (VXC) rebate program offered by the CO energy office - You can actually stack this with the tax credit if someone is eligible. (https://evco.colorado.gov/get-the-facts/save-money ) Tax credit requirements remain unchanged at this...
  9. Rivian Update 2025.34 Now Downloading! - Upgrades / Fixes to Expect

That and charging speed given in miles per hour. Absolutely no one wants to see their charging in miles per hour, and if they change it to kw dozens of times, how about you leave that alone?
  10. Rivian Update 2025.34 Now Downloading! - Upgrades / Fixes to Expect

I have C+ and I don't have it either. I'm always at the end of the C+ rollout cycle since I don't connect via wifi very often. Hopefully they're addressing some of the common bugs being reported with this update. I'm not sure I'd install it even if offered right now.
  11. 2025.34.30 Sound Change

I bet it doesn't ship with 2 gloveboxes, and if it does will be cut very early. Who needs 2 gloveboxes?
  12. PSA for those getting a new phone -- you could be boned if you do this....

I guess it's possible, but I don't think Rivians are huge theft targets due to the built in gps tracking that can't be disabled, as well as many others (Teslas have some of the lowest theft rates of all vehicles). To employ that strategy someone would also have to know a PAAK is in the vehicle...
  13. Any word on Halloween costume yet?

Hope you get it, because there's been no confirmation of it returning.
  14. Storm Clouds Are Gathering Over The Volkswagen–Rivian Bromance

Internal politics and now the swift whipsaw back to continuing ICE production for the near future all but assure that at least Porsche and Audi will keep it alive (they really don't have a viable altenative for their plans at this point). The JV just didn't contemplate ICE being a priority -...
  15. Any word on Halloween costume yet?

OK - the folks who bought quads would probably rather have the kick turn and RAD Tuner they were promised. Likely the same with folks trucks that now take forever to unlock after the latest update. Also, counter productive if it generates as much bad press as good.
  16. Any word on Halloween costume yet?

It consumes resources that could be deployed elsewhere. Programming resources aren't unlimited - there is certainly an opportunity cost to developing halloween mode each year. Sure there's marketing value, but they also got bad press out of it too with the NHTSA recall caused by it last year...
  17. PSA for those getting a new phone -- you could be boned if you do this....

For 1. you can do that or you can set up using the old phone directly if you're trading in remotely (or not trading in). If you're trading in at the store then you have to do the back up method, or set it up in store (which the Apple store is pure chaos right now, so not really where I wanted...
  18. Any word on Halloween costume yet?

They sure don't seem to be given the increasing number of bugs with every update. Also promises matter. They promised people that bought their flagship certain things in September and they missed it. They should have just said kick turn and RAD tuner would have been coming soon rather than in...
  19. Any word on Halloween costume yet?

Hopefully none at all. Would like to see them focus on all the promised improvements they're behind on (ie. kick turn and RAD promised for quads this month) and bug fixes, rather than something that could just lead to more bugs and NHTSA recall like last year.
  20. RAN stations coming to Irvine CA and Lakewood CO

Lakewood one is co-located with long established Tesla and EA stations where Rivian will more than likely price themselves at a minimum 20% premium over the competition. Doesn't seem like a wise location choice to me.
