As a proud Alabamian and a conservative leaning person I think that there is huge potential for EVs to be marketed in a way that would make them appeal more to people like myself. Right now the response from most conservatives to someone that drives an EV is something along the line of "So... do...
RJ said that they didn't feel it was right to charge people $10k for the max pack and not have it meet the performance (speaking specifically of the acceleration) of the large pack. I don't have a link to where he said that but I am certain I heard it mentioned it in an interview. So it should...
I was one of those people. The thing I figured out on Friday is that with it having a tonneau cover means you'll have to either open it yourself or wait for it to open before you could step up onto the bumper if it had one. I figure that since the tailgate can open with the tonneau closed then...
2 charges at this location. They said they were the first two chargers that were accessable to the public. I'm not sure of this is true though because I thought I saw where there were a couple in Moab UT.
So, thoughts...
In general the truck is beautiful and has a very nice athletic stance...
Thanks to @kanundrum for posting the details on the ribbon cutting! I ended up going by and getting to see the truck and the waypoint chargers! I also got to speak to the Rivian folks briefly. From what I gathered, the waypoint chargers that are a part of this program (installs in all 56 state...
My wife and I do some Whitetail hunting. Mostly on prepared green fields. Getting to the fields is nothing too extreme but I'm hoping that we can get a little closer than in an ICE vehicle. That's why I'm hoping the Pedestrian Warning System can be turned off.
Earlier this week I noticed that the air compressor kit was no longer showing up in the configurator. I checked my build today and noticed that it was not listed on there either even though I had previously added it to my configuration. I contacted CS and they responded with the email below...
A quick Google search turned up that Cowboys Food Mart in Damascus Virginia.
111 Douglas Dr, Damascus, VA 24236
It is near the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area.
Edit: Actually it looks like there are other parks closer than Mount Rogers. They could have been at several different ones.

If anyone chooses to talk to CS about this I'd be interested to know if you had a similar experience to my conversation (a rep that is willing to listen and says that suggestions are helpful). Also, any thoughts on additional suggestions that I might have missed?
In RJ's email on Friday he mentioned that "we need to do a better job at communicating specifics around deliveries." However, as he went on he failed to mention how things are going to change. Based on this and the fact that he only mentioned comms regarding "specifics around deliveries" it...
I'm not upset about the delay in the slightest. There are good reasons for that. What there isn't a good reason for is the lack of communication over the past couple of months.
I called CS today and complained for a while. I didn't do it to vent my frustrations at someone, I just wanted to let...
I have a particular interest in the section of I-20 that connects Birmingham to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Looking at the map it appears that there will be 5 chargers in the following locations between Birmingham and Dallas
Meridian, MS
Jackson, MS
Monroe, LA
Shreveport, LA
Mineola, TX
Thanks for this information. I will remove those.
I didn't realize that those were from the LWU vehicles. I thought all of the older R1Ts had the rear window that had a portion of the glass that wouldn't roll down (like the Compass Yellow one which was photographed after the LWU ones)...
