I had to change my vote to minor issues. At first all seemed fine, did a test drive around the block, and all was well. Had to run an errand a few hours later, however, and found that the camera screen was not showing video from any of the cameras. Parked and exited the vehicle, then 15 minutes...
Am I the only one having issues with the gear guard cable? When my truck was delivered, it stopped working right away. Wouldn’t lock the cable in the port on locking the truck.
Mobile service fixed it and it was working when they left. A few days later tried it and it doesn’t work again.
Now...
Mobile service could deliver it to you and pick it up when you're done? And one use case that it could make sense for is heading into a charging desert. Or towing.
This just published today: Tesla Cybertruck Range Extender option is just the beginning…
Key takeaways:
- Range Extender price may be $16k
- Probably weighs 700 lbs (28% of payload)
- Idea of renting (not buying) this pack when going on a road trip or into a charging desert
I'm intrigued by...
Yeah, 450 miles will require the "range extender" which will likely cost $15-20k, if it ever comes to fruition. Btw, guess who owns the patent on that.
Obviously it's very subjective, but I think many of us will agree with these sentiments:
Tesla’s Cybertruck looks insane, but I’m still holding out for the Rivian R2
Of course, there's no way the R2 will be $40k. Maybe $50k, after incentives. Still, that's a better price point. The main reason...
Now that's a reasonable weight! I like how modular it is.
How is it sleeping in there? Do you plan to leave it on full time, or will you store it when not taking trips?
Thanks y'all. Discovered that the dip switches were set incorrectly to 40a on the Grizzl-E charger. Once I set them to 32a, all is well. Interestingly, the truck amperage setting now shows 34a, whereas before it would show 44a. Not sure how to explain the discrepancy.
Forgive me if this has been covered in another thread, but my truck keeps going back to 48 amps on the charge setting screen. I have a 40a EVSE on a 40a breaker, so I change the setting to 36a before I plug in. Is there any way to get the truck to keep the last setting? Our Polestar just sticks...
I did watch the WSJ video, and it’s legit. I think that piece is fueling a ton of reposting on sites that hate EVs, because it’s a valid critique from a reputable publication that they can piggyback on.
Charging infrastructure is a problem, but it is being addressed, albeit too slowly. We’ve...
Is it just me, or is there a crescendo in EV negative PR campaigning going on right now? My news feed is overrun with EV hit pieces by The Sun, Oil Price, etc. I understand I've been over feeding the algorithm for awhile, but I suspect the fossil fuel industry is ramping up spending on PR...
Yeah it feels like a bug to me when the lights are flashing on the street and I’m inside the house 100 feet away. I’ve disabled proximity locking for now, because of this and the other annoyances, and it makes me wonder if this isn’t contributing to phantom drain. I like the feature, but it...
