Well I have the Michelin Defender LTX tires on my Rivian. I chose a 285/60R/20 and they fit perfectly on my Speedline wheels. Speed is off 1 MPH at 70. I only drive in Sport Mode and lowest setting and these don't rub at all.
I have over 8000 miles on them so far, and I expect to get between...
I have the Michelin Defender XLT's now for over 8000 miles. Best decision I've ever made. They are super quiet! Bet your Goodyears hum nicely. My size is 285/60/20's and I only drive in Sport Mode at low suspension setting. My ride is great and I don't anticipate ever changing tires before...
I've had my truck now since Jun 2022 and am still waiting! I though Rivian would ship them based on when you purchased your vehicle?
I ordered my truck on Nov 29th, 2018, fer chrissakes!
Hey guys,
I recently moved to Parrish, Florida, near Bradenton/Sarasota.
I have a 2022 R1T in Compass Yellow with almost 25,000 trouble free miles. What can I say, I am over the moon happy with my Rivvie.
I ordered mine on Nov 29th, 2018! Real early.
Looking to meet up sometime and cruise.
STOP! All of you. The only tire you should be considering is the new Michelin Defender LTX Platinum! Not the Defender LTX. The Platinum is a whole new and different tire.
I have the 285/60/20R and they fit well without rubbing even at the lowest setting. 275/60/20 also fit.
This tire is...
I agree with Schroederhc, The new Michelin Defender LTX Platinum is THE tire to get. Sure they're heavy, but the ride quality, comfort and lack of noise makes these the best tire in my mind.
Sure they're expensive, but then a 70,000 mile warranty means you won't have to replace them very...
The factory 20" wheel is a 275/65/20 which has a diameter of about 33.5". I chose a 285/60/20 wheel that has virtually the same diameter of 33.4". My speedo is off maybe by 1 mph at 70 mph.
This is based upon my dashcam's GPS measured speed.
Yeah, my Pirelli's had almost 20,000 miles on them and I certainly could have gotten 5-6,000 more miles on them, but I was hot to trot on those 20" Speedline wheels.
As far as the handling is concerned, the Pirelli's where a lighter tire, but I can't tell much difference.
I do however, see a...
Anyone out there looking for new tires, these are for you. Michelin released these in Nov 2023.
If you're not going rock crawling or doing serious off roading, then spend the money on these.
I now have almost 4,000 miles on my 285/60/20 tires and can honestly say these are phenomenal! Yes...
Well here goes! For all those who are unlikely to go rock crawling or doing serious off roading, the only tire to get is the new Michelin Defender Platinum tire. Came out in Nov 2023.
They are quite expensive, Costco is the best place to get them. I now have nearly 4000 miles on mine, I...
