I, like probably everyone on this Forum, would like to know when they will get their Rivian delivered? Does anybody know how many R1T's Rivian can produce initially? Will they have a small stockpile ready for deliveries in June? What is the cost going to be for a spare wheel? and what states...

I live in PA right across the Delaware river from NJ. I recently picked up my 2021 Tesla Model Y in Princeton NJ. They just issue you with temporary tags, they collected the sales tax that I would have paid in Pennsylvania and I was on my way. My PA plates arrived in the mail two weeks later...

Yeah, I think it is a very costly item that is easily deleted. I applaud Rivian for that.

Yeah I'm afraid you're right. They spread the cost over all deliveries, otherwise deliveries to Alaska would be ridiculous.

Yeah, I never thought about that! How much is the delivery charge and will they remove it if you pick yours up at the factory? A factory tour would certainly be a bonus.

Great review, sorry for your misfortune in buying the Ford. Do you still have your Tesla? Also, only a few ICE SUV's slurp petrol at 20 MPG. Mostly 4 cylinder models. Most are worse than that.

That does make sense, I'm in Pennsylvania and will gladly fly to the factory to pick mine up if this area does not have enough pre orders.

It sure looks like the roof slopes, or the doors and body sides seem to be higher towards the back! Look at the rear window and door window sizes, they seem smaller on the blue one?

Just spoke with Emily at Rivian, cost of spare wheels have not been released yet, and all Rivians will come with tow hitches as standard.

I would like a spare wheel as well as a tow hitch for my R1T. Does anybody know how much these and other options might be? Are these anywhere on Rivian's website?

Yup I agree. I was told when I spoke to someone at Rivian, that they intend to start production in 2020, and that some early adopters might see their cars/trucks late in 2019. But most deliveries would be 2020. To sell vehicles, by presumably Jan 2020, they would have to have several vehicles...

I guess you just recently placed your order. I have all my emails from Rivian, and they clearly state that end of 2019 should be the first deliveries of the 2020 models. Then it became early 2020, then Covid conveniently allowed them to delay till the end of 2020. Deliveries are now sheduled...

As a very early order holder, Nov 27th, 2018, I was initially told deliveries should start at the end of 2019. That has changed many times to the current June 2021. Why not just make all Rivians 2022 models? Most manufacturers, bringing out brand new models always make it the following year...
