I like the 21's without covers also. Good to have the aero covers for long trips and you want to eek out every last mile of range though. I imagine 5% hit on range with the covers off based on similar hit on Teslas with/without the aero covers.
But, isnt it fun? And do we have anything better to do until we can actually see one or take delivery?
My tire choice is like my color choice - all over the place. I'm in FL, don't plan any serious off-roading so may go with 22's assuming they don't wear out in 10k miles like some...
Thanks DuckTruck. I hope my original post didn't come across the wrong way, I was just surprised at the radio silence directly after the event. I'm happy they chose a Forum member that is so knowledgable and enthusiastic about the product. Look forward to more details.
Why aren't the people selected spilling all the details on this forum, or Reddit, or Twitter, or Facebook? Did they sign an NDA or are they just not as passionate about Rivian as some of us that spend a crazy amount of time looking for new info to absorb?
Ha! I saw that too. I think the driver makes the truck look small. The passenger seems more in proportion to the truck. The red is really growing on me too but that's not a particularly flattering angle, IMO. I guess I just need to see one in the flesh.

Re: the potentially flimsy cupholders and flying drinks as some of you have mentioned..... On the bright side the front Chilewich mats are easily removable and washable!!!
Yeah, that was my first thought but I can see some green in there, probably from the sun hitting it at just the right angle. The launch green quest continues....
Do we know that the frunk/hood will be fully powered for opening and closing? Or will it be like the tailgate and a soft, strut-assisted release and a manual close? I'm trying to avoid using the word damper or dampen. ;)
I did learn one thing from the video. I now want a Forest Green R1T instead...
Orlando area. Put a reservation down on a Limestone R1T two days ago. But might switch to the R1S. And might switch color. And wheels. And trim. Argh, I can't decide, just know I want one! Obviously, missed launch edition but happy to wait a bit for any wrinkles to be ironed out. Can't wait to...
