Strange. I had 1 phone, 2 cards, 1 fob and 1 wristband, so a total of 5. The setup on the watch said I'd reached the 4 device limit and wouldn't go any further. I deactivated the fob and was then able to add the watch - which works really well by the way. So now I'm back to 5. Not sure what they...
Gen 1 R1S here. Apple watch won't setup as key as I guess I've reached a 4-key limit (2 key cards, fob and wristband presumably). I guess I have to give up one before it will work. Oh well.
AC Hold, am I doing this right? The Hold button on the AC screen in the vehicle is grayed out. When I press it it says "Hold unavailable". Yes, I'm in Park. Yes, the AC is running. I can choose Pet Mode but not AC Hold. Can I only use AC Hold via the Rivian app on my phone?
Fixed a rare issue that caused the alarm to sound when passive entry was used to open the liftgate.
Ha! This just happened to me today and happens pretty much every time I approach the rear of the vehicle and open the liftgate (R1S). Fortunately, the horn is so terrible that no one notices...
Tried mine earlier this week. It's crazy difficult to get it latched. I even practiced with our Tesla HPWC in the garage a few times to break it in and it seemed ok, but the supercharger experience with the A2Z was just awful. It's even difficult to get it to latch into the Rivian - like the...
Mine did that from new (Sep 2023) but was fixed by a software update (I forget which one) but the release notes specifically called it out. Per Wassym on Reddit, it's not a software issue, it's vehicle specific but he thought (at the time) that it could be fixed by software and indeed it was for...
Our community held a car show Sunday and I had the R1S all setup like we do for camping. Exped mattress and bedding in the back, cooktop, fridge etc. I actually won "Best in Show". That's my friends CyberTruck in the background which was super popular also.
Yes, I tried to. Spent about 10 minutes with the guy. I mentioned the max speed of the ID.4, I thought it was 150 kW, couldn't remember, but knew it wasn't 350 kW. I also talked about the SOC playing a big role here. He didn't seem very convinced and more annoyed at VW and the FPL Evolution...
Same here. Interior lights cut off too. There is some strange sequence you have to do I think and I can't figure it out. It's related to opening/not opening the doors, pressure in the drivers seat and pressing the brake pedals before (or after) you select camp mode. I'm still experimenting, but...
This will be awesome for the ID.4 owner I met at a charger recently. He pulled in at 96% SOC to 'top up' and was upset he didn't get 350 kW as advertised. Now he'll be able to charge for an hour and get 2400 miles of range (per the article). /s
I had that same problem. It was fixed in a software update, they even called it out in the release notes. Supposedly, a rare problem, but if you had it like we did it was every stoplight or slow moving traffic. Glad it's gone.
Just completed a 4-day trip to the FL Panhandle. For me the...
Exactly. I also turned off Lane Keep Assist but keep Lane Departure Warning on so I get the vibration occasionally but avoid getting pulled into the ditch!
They mention steering wheel vibrations which sounds like the lane-departure vibration to me. Sometimes I get it even when staying in my lane. I assume the camera/sensors are picking up some strange asphalt pattern and assume I'm drifting over the line. Not a big deal.
