It's amazing how much better the GMC looks compared to the Chevy. Granted, they are both too big and too tall up front (truck front ends have been as big as the Hoover Dam for far too long now), but the Sierra Doesn't look like a Honda, which is a good thing for a pickup truck.

There's a difference between "quite warm" and "hot". Are you able to touch it for more than a few seconds (or less)? Do you smell anything melting/burning? Electricity generates quite a bit of heat with these constant, higher loads (even 32 amps!), so some warming is normal.

I know one Rivian owner that lives on a farm out in the boonies of Central Washington that also has a Lightning on the 'around the farm' work, and they say it's been working great for them.
