I've wanted to replace some of the breakers in the panel for a while now, but wasn't sure if it was anything more than popping them out and putting the new ones in.
Gen 1 has gotten at least one new feature in nearly every update since I bought mine in Feb. 2024.
Unless you are talking about updates for Driver+ for Gen 1, then I'd agree with you, kinda. They did add a component for Driver+ that downloads it's own updates whenever they push one. There's...
Tell that to my electrical panel. 🤣 Wonder if Washington State cares about that or not...
Granted, the people that did the flip on my house cut corners in more and more places that I find, which is such a lovely feeling.
I think the real test is these water bottles. They have always been updated with the latest color that the R1's come in, and match almost perfectly - I feel like I could scrape some paint of my Forest Green bottle and stick it on my truck and no one would notice (other than the fact that gluing...
It's amazing how much better the GMC looks compared to the Chevy. Granted, they are both too big and too tall up front (truck front ends have been as big as the Hoover Dam for far too long now), but the Sierra Doesn't look like a Honda, which is a good thing for a pickup truck.
There's a difference between "quite warm" and "hot". Are you able to touch it for more than a few seconds (or less)? Do you smell anything melting/burning?
Electricity generates quite a bit of heat with these constant, higher loads (even 32 amps!), so some warming is normal.
1. Absolutely. I don't have a need for a second vehicle, but my wife and I both agree that if we wanted one (or ended up needing it), we would pick up an R3 when it comes out. And if something happened to our R1T, it would be replaced with another R1T.
2. No answer for you, no kids.
3. The times...
The pretty pretty picture of your Rivian (when you aren't looking at the Gauges) animates and changes when you change suspension heights, road feel settings, etc. I find it a little handy when doing the former, because I don't have to dig into the manual to know the ground clearance or height of...
I know one Rivian owner that lives on a farm out in the boonies of Central Washington that also has a Lightning on the 'around the farm' work, and they say it's been working great for them.
