But the entire premise of MTās āexperimentā was to run it dry, and see what happens (FAFO). They didnāt ignore all the warnings like idiots, they did it on purpose ... and openly write, many times, how most owners wouldnāt, that the truck tried really hard to get them to stop, etc. but the point...
Yeah, I chatted with them a bit, explained why they couldnāt (currently) use RAN chargers, shared some general EV āknowledgeā to help get them started ⦠along with recommending resources like PlugShare, watching Out of Spec Reviews, etc.
Itās a Solterra, but anyway ā¦
Talked to the owners, FWIW. Theyād just picked the car up that day, and said the Subaru dealer told them to ājust try any charger, as most will workā. They couldnāt figure out why the RAN wouldnāt connect. This just highlights how inadequate dealerships are in the...
Iāve had Conti TerrainContact ATs (in OE size) on mine for over 6000 miles and can highly recommend them.

Range impact in mixed driving is minimal and even on long...
I ran mine backwards over the bed of my Raptor for years, and super bummed I couldnāt make it work that way on the Rivian. I even went to our local rack shop to test fit several different models (smaller/shorter) and none worked with the set (fixed) mount points for the cross bars. Even if they...
Iāll just add a link to my comments in that thread, since the range hit is definitely more than 3% if you are road tripping on open highways/interstates (i.e., long distances at more sustained speeds). Around town, local stuff, I donāt find it to be much of a hit (3% is probably about right)...
Exactly. This is why the update, whenever it happened, stood out. I would often look at the display graphic during regen braking to see what it showed, to help understand what people behind me might be seeing (in terms of when brake lights come on). So when I saw the HCMBLs illuminate after .22...
Interesting. I checked a couple photos/videos from my road trip in late May on software .18 and only have glow, no lights ā¦
Noticed that too. Donāt care for it, if Iām honest.
LOL. Me too brother ... me too
⦠brake lights to the Unreal Engine graphic in the driver display. I only remember a red āglowā when braking before, but not the actual brake lights. Looked back at some photos/videos I have and they indeed only show a glow at the rear of the truck when braking.
Almost immediately after the .22...
Interesting. My T is a Jan 23 build and Iāve zero issues charging on anything ... from 120 (at AirBnB) to 240 / Level 2 (I plug in several times a week to my Rivian home charger) to DCFC.
So you live thinking someone or some group is out there establishing āpatterns of lifeā on you? Do you alter when you turn lights on and off at home, or which direction you drive to work and what times you leave? I mean, someone could be sitting across the street from your house right now...
Good data and trip report. Iāve used that 50kW EVCS charger a couple times and itās definitely a lifeline. As you noted, itās also great for towing; the EVCS in Sisters wonāt accommodate a trailer so you have to unhook.
Itās all in the comparison table in that link. The only differences really are the Pro only comes in diamond tread pattern and has a higher load capacity.
