… brake lights to the Unreal Engine graphic in the driver display. I only remember a red “glow” when braking before, but not the actual brake lights. Looked back at some photos/videos I have and they indeed only show a glow at the rear of the truck when braking.

Almost immediately after the .22 OTA I noticed the bright red HCMBLs; it really stood out. Then I noticed the rear corner lights were illuminating too, but wasn’t sure if that already existed.

Is it just me? Or is this an “Easter egg” update?

This was actually in the previous update. This update did make the line on the efficiency graph purple when dipping below the 2.0 mark. I'm often in the purple

Interesting. I checked a couple photos/videos from my road trip in late May on software .18 and only have glow, no lights …

i thought the animated truck was gimmicky at first but im actually finding that it does provide "feedback" to the driver. for example, its useful actually to know when the brake lights turn on during regen and how much pressure i have on the pedal. and its useful to know what the driver+ system sees as lanes. so, the more detail the better.

now if they'd only activate the cameras automatically when you signal for a lane change and at low speeds when youre parking. ?

Exactly. This is why the update, whenever it happened, stood out. I would often look at the display graphic during regen braking to see what it showed, to help understand what people behind me might be seeing (in terms of when brake lights come on). So when I saw the HCMBLs illuminate after .22 update, it really stood out
