Yes we are talking about EV's but it may be difficult to get someone to cross over if they have to deal with the charging hassles with a trailer. My last tow vehicle was not an EV.
Too bad Tesla didn't put the charge port in the front.
Large/Heavy trailers need more space to park have WDH...
What? EV 's make excellent short haul tow vehicles why would you want to limit your customer base with a poorly located charge port.
Passenger front for the win.
Huh, no one tows with mid size SUVs/CUVs? ?
The rear port seems like complete foolishness.
Cost saving's does not equal efficiency...
The way I see it one only needs max range on road trips & towing. EPA EV efficiency #'s do not reflect road trip and/or towing efficiency #'s.
On the Out of Spec 70mph range test there is only a 23/24 mile difference between the large & max. This would only be an additional 12-18 miles towing...
I have had zero service issues in my area the 2 times (body alignment/other minor issue) I went.
Well the R1T MP suffers less as far as range than the CT.
There will still be some unsold stock of the 23-24 models being sold after Oct 1, however the deeply discounted voucher pricing will have disappeared.
I assume there there will be some sort of incentives to move the unsold stock however.
I concur with what Midnight Rivian said.
The difference of 410-320 is more reflective of city driving, on the hwy it is unlikely you will see more than a 30 mile difference with the same tires. We should see soon once OoS does the range test on the Tri-M.
Also an additional 25k battery warranty...
They were really only a large + until the refresh. Why would anyone buy it.
I guess they need to make money & justify the exorbitant cost of the make belief max.
Yes with the refresh the whole product line seems to be less efficient with all the different configurations & still nothing to...
It's more like a station wagon, more competition for the Model X.
They are using marketing terms like Adventure & Utility which in real terms it completely lacks compared to a R1S.
If going that route I would go Gravity as I am really not a fan of the X styling or lack thereof.
Since the...
I am also surprised about the various models when they are trying to streamline.
3. Towing is about KWH & hp/tq. I would go TM
4. I would disagree about the Quad being the Off-Road version as I understand it comes with the performance street tires & is too cost prohibitive for off-roading.
Well the Mercedes looks better, how good the EV version I guess we will see.
There is certainly no shortage of fail points & maintenance costs on the diesel versions, great to drive to though.
I think I would agree on the conserve mode.
So 70 miles more the your current QM is a deal killer? Honestly I doubt the TM-M or DM-M will be that much better than your QM based on previous G1 70mph range tests.
I doubt the DM-M will be insufficient power wise but it is hard to step back power wise. I have heard on this forum that the DM...
The MP doesn't sell well due to the extremely poor value/kwh.
I'd have been ok with a 11 module LFP.
Bring back the Explore.
Real world range difference with the same tires on the hwy and/or towing is negligible. The tri/quad has the improved hp/tq which is better for towing.
Something is...
It is very unlikely they will be producing the 500 mile, 3500lb payload, 14k tow rated with a properly located spare tire, so I would have to disagree.
Oh, that gimmick range extender in the box does not count, I prefer to use the box for cargo not batteries & spare tires.
