My advice is to make sure the new phones are named differently than the old phones. When I upgraded my iPhone, it literally cloned my old phone and even kept the same name. So when I registered the new phone it had two phones of the same name and I didn’t know which phone to delete afterwards...
iPhone 16 pro max and iOS 18.1.1. PAAK is broken for me since two weeks ago. See this thread. Even had the vehicle at the service center and they say it’s a Rivian bug that needs a software fix. Very frustrating...
Update
Received vehicle back. PAAK still broken. Was told not a hardware issue but a software fix will need to be issued with no ETA on resolution. I was told “the engineers are working on it..”. So I’m still stuck using the key fob without any updates on the phone over the Rivian app. Very...
Nothing wrong with the statement. I am happy to pay for connectivity because I knew it was a temporary free thing when I purchased the vehicle.
The same people who say I had no idea are the same ones who never read the manual, don’t know what plug the vehicle uses, how charging rates work, and...
I had a prior service appt booked for today. So luckily this issue was added on as another service item. The service writer went "oh this is very interesting..." However there does appear to be some incompatibility with the PAAK bluetooth module with 39.01.2024 and the iphone 16 on ios...
If you run an E load tire you are supposed to run a higher than stock inflation to maintain the same load carrying capacity. 55-60psi is probably appropriate for that load rating.
Thanks. Did all of that already. Used my app to delete wife’s profile and reissued new invitation for phone as key. The frustrating part was they had me delete my phone from the car as well and mine was working fine. Now I can’t pair my phone for PAAK.
The tech on the phone was polite and...
My wife and I got new iPhones. Went from 14 promax to 16 promax. A couple weeks ago when I got into the vehicle for the first time the screen prompted me to set up the new phone which went flawlessly. However since the phone migrated from the old phone the name of the phone remained “iPhone 14”...
Sigh. They aren't charging you for Spotify. They are charging you for the 5G connection. As others have said, use the hotspot from your phone if you don't want to pay for in vehicle data.
The horn sounds terrible but it’s not as quiet as you think. It’s very directional and you can’t hear it well inside the car. But outside it’s actually loud enough.
I think Rivian is trying but the backup and wait time is still difficult right now. I do think its kind of crazy they don't just have their own rental fleet (even if its not Rivian vehicles) since Enterprise must be making a killing right now. Took them 5 days to do a wheel alignment for me...
Thanks for the confirmation. Looks like a bug with the app and latest iOS. I reported it to Rivian a week ago. Others should do the same so they can fix it with next app update. The Lock Screen charging and Dynamic Island pop up is really useful and it’s annoying to open the app to check...
iPhone 16 pro max. iOS 18.1. Latest Rivian app.
Noticed charging status no longer appears on Lock Screen or the Dynamic Island. All notifications enabled.
Any ideas?
Different vehicles implement CarPlay differently and it might depend on screen orientation too. Had my Rivian in for an alignment and I enjoyed having CarPlay on the rental. Waze is so much better than Rivian navigation. But I know we will never get CarPlay so this won’t be a rant that we...
Something to keep in mind is that Costco is generally very strict on speed rating and load rating. The Michelin Defenders in 22" come as 115H or 119S. The factory load rating is 116H. Now the 115H is probably fine if you don't tow. But Costco might not install it, and recommend the 119S...
