While I agree that there's a message, it doesn't imply anywhere, including the owners manual that leaving it over night will brick the truck. I think most people would assume it's just like a low fuel warning on an ice vehicle.
Why is everyone so opposed to manufacturers making their EVs...
Well known to who? The people who frequent the forums?
You assume everyone who owns a Rivian participates here? There's likely thousands, if not tens of thousands, of people who buy a Rivian and never come on the forums. How do you suppose they "know"? Ignorance is not a failure to...
The firmware to make it compatible with Rivian isn't available online. It's something they have to push.
Also, the best way to push a version change manually is to connect to the AP and go to 192.168.92.1/service
Call support (888) 518-3752 ... Option 3, then option 3 again (home power wall charger support). They need to push a lower (downgraded) firmware to the unit to support charging with Rivian.
Once that update is applied you can call them again and ask them to upgrade to the latest firmware and...
The fact is that not everyone who buys an EV thinks like those of us who've had EVs for a while, stalk the forums and know that there's certain things you just can't do. Especially the OP having had a prior EV that didn't have the same behavior. This led him to believe that there was nothing...
I posted about it here when it first opened:

You can use 6awg THHN for 60A, but it would need to 4awg if you go NM. If they are running conduit and individual conductors then 6awg would be fine. If it's in a shielded bundle then it would have to be 4/3 (4awg) for 60A.
I have Gear Guard disabled at home so I don't know what drain looks like with it on, but in your DMs you'll see that in the last 2 days, not being driven at my house I've lost 0 miles of range. That includes 13 wakes.
As to what other people are seeing, or have seen in prior firmware updates I...
I've seen those posts, but I think most of them are older, where the R1s had more drain and if they have the cameras on then well, it's gonna suck down power. I'll DM you my logs.
Vampire drain on my R1T is almost non-existent. I don't think people are testing it correctly. How many times did PaaK or a FOB wake the vehicle etc? All of that has to be accounted for. You can't just reset the trip counter and then assume it's all vampire drain. In the last 3 days I've...
Considering it happened right after there was a thread on this forum about EVgo Autocharge+ supposedly being a "security threat" I'm no so sure it wasn't related, but I don't have evidence of that either way. Just happened to be at the same time.
Yup and they had they said it should work. I then contacted EVgo again and they said "Rivian doesn't know what they are talking about because we are the ones who disabled it".
I don't use EVgo hardly ever so I really didn't care to pursue it any further since it didn't appear I was getting...
Rivian vehicles aren't excluded from the phantom braking, other brands (1 in particular) just gets mentioned all the time because people have some weird obsession with them.
It's normal to have some level of phantom braking with ADAS systems that rely, in part, on vision. I've had my truck...
The pull through units are about 50 yards from all of the others. They are easy to miss. When you turn left at the hotel look towards the driver's side where the field is. Don't be distracted by the 48 Tesla chargers and the 4 RAN on the right.
You pull straight on into them from the road on...
EVGo has said they dropped autocharge+ support for Rivian. If you had it setup before they dropped support for it then it will still work, but setting up a new vehicle isn't currently supported.
My route home just updated and now includes Santa Nella, CA as a RAN charging stop.
I'll be trying it out in about 6 hours so I'll update if it's fully functional, but I assume it will be since the truck is telling me to go there.
This is a great addition to the I5 route.
Few options:
Upload it to google drive and share the link here which will insert a video
Upload it to YouTube and share the link here and it will display the video
Download a program called handbrake and optimize the file size and re-upload. Reduce the clip time to only 20 seconds.
