In my case I'm obsessively checking the R1 shop to see what's left!
Now I don't know if I should be relieved or not by the fact that for the last 10 days, it's always the same 6 R1T showing up for my selection (21" wheel, large pack, DM perf). Relieved because I'm hoping to get my...
I also checked and found 1 single R1T matching my specs...
So doesn't look hopeful that's it will still be available in 2 weeks. One the other hand the price drops are impressive. With my voucher the cost would be around 89k.
I got it also and read it.
From the wording it seems fairly clear to me that the delivery process will start if not on the 20th, in the days following. Finally!
So you're in Montreal (Quebec) and got this email? Because I haven't received anything yet. And trying to access the R1T shop on Rivian.com complains that HXX (Quebec province postal code) is not an area where they deliver yet.
I was wondering if you had looked for something like Carvana or Carmax in Canada.
In my search I had found two, Canada Drives and Clutch, but they don't operate in our province. Not sure why.
I was hoping to trade my M3P, but now that appears to be a major obstacle. One option would be to...
You can also use ABRP and check the expected travel times for a specific build (with and without max pack). ABRP is fairly precise in my experience.
I have done so with many destinations I already went to in the past, or planning to go to. For a reasonably long trip, like 1000km (600mi)...
No news on my side. Even checked my spam to make sure!
Keep us posted on the trade-in. I'm curious to see if trade-in (+ saved taxes) would be better than selling directly. I'd like to give back my M3P.
That part, about what's left in the inventory, is worrisome. Does it exclude the "refreshed" R1 once they resume production after the April factory upgrades?
We're supposed to have access in May (early?) so hopefully there's still a lot of vehicles available.
You can add Tesla and Lucid as the manufacturers that use something like the exchange rate (plus or minus) to set the Canadian pricing.
Just about everybody else has way more reasonable pricing for our market. Just look at the Silverado RST. $105k in the US, $122k in Canada.
Totally agree with...
Just want to add a Canadian perspective here on the pricing comparison.
The cheapest R1S I can configure (dual motor, standard battery) with a choice of paint and interior comes to $84000 CAD. And this is after I apply my 29% voucher.
I can configure a nice EV9 Land with Premium package for...
On a related price topic, is it confirmed or not that the R1T/R1S are not subject to the federal luxury tax? As it seems the GVWR is above the limit specified by the tax.
That's what I got with the configurator. I don't think taxes are included.
The $133K is, in my opinion, just insane. I would not consider the truck if I didn't have early reservation pricing.
I just connected to my account (was away on vacation this last week). I'm being offered a 29% voucher.
So just to make sure I understand, that would be 29% of the normal vehicle price right?
For example I just configured an R1T, DM performance FG+OC for $133,300. 29% of that is $38,657. So...
BTW anybody knows when is the next refresh for the delivery coming? That would give us an indication if things are still on track.
I'm also curious to see if my delivery window will change (was July-Sep 2024) after switching my config from max pack to large pack.
If you check the 10% challenge by OutOfSpec on the same two R1T as in the test above you'll see the curve, for 15 mins, is essentially the same. No significant difference. In fact the Max pack received slightly less kwh in those 15 mins.
Time to switch my order from max to large pack.
Would be interesting if someone did a poll to see how many people are willing to take max over large pack after seeing this result.
I just passed by today, and no changes. No signs of activity either.
As a side note, fantastic meeting with @RivianNE on Saturday. I could better appreciate all the niceties of the R1T (especially since my order switched from an R1S to the R1T).
I'm also happy to report that the vehicle...
