Yes, read and follow through with the suggestions you continually refuse to take. You keep posting information that you already stated. It is obvious people believe you.
Nice update. However I turned off live updates. Having a two Rivian family means half the time the information doesn’t apply to me. It is easy to turn on for a road trip when I need it.
3 on 100 amp service here. Gas stove, water heater and dryer. Note that my air conditioning compressor is on a 20 amp breaker as recommended by the manufacturer so lots of extra capacity most people don’t have.
Others have probably written better on the subject… the way I relate is traction control needs slip to redirect torque. An open diff allows the tire with traction to “anchor” that tire and slowly add torque. Therefore the front and rear each have an anchor. With four independent motors it adds...
Here is the order of the vehicles I own that I would take to the mountains to drive in the snow: First would be our I-pace with DWS’s. Second: R1S dual motor with stock 21” tires. Last would be our R1T Quad motor on 20” tires. The quad motor doesn’t have the predictability of the other two in...
So, 10-30 does not have a ground. It has two “hot” wires and neutral. The Rivian EVSE is doing its job correctly. It is probably sensing that this is not a proper ground sometimes and sends an error. There are EVSE’s that are approved to use neutral instead of ground and will not have errors if...
I did a pro/con list comparing a base dual motor CT vs. R1T dual motor performance. The cybertruck won based on my list of what was analytically important to me. If Rivian updates the R1T for vehicle to load with at least 4.8kW it would be closer to even. However, how a vehicle drives and the...
If one configures a Mavan EV to have most of the equipment an R1 comes with one would need to add:
Memory seats
Heated and ventilated seats (requires leather upgrade)
Trailer hitch
Roof rails
Surrond view
Lane keep assist
Prep for dashcam
New price is $85,810 plus destination
@SoCal Rob You speculated correctly. The EV Sportline R1S cargo cover hangs down at about 70-80 degrees when retracted.
I also like having a handle on the cover. The product fits and works perfectly.
Mine sat for 8 days with gear guard on and lost 21 miles of range. This has been the norm for me for over a year and the same as it was before gear guard was released. SoCal “winter” weather conditions.
One possibility: If you have more than one circuit breaker dedicated to your garage you can get an electrician to switch one circuit to 240v at 20 amps if the correct gauge wire is already there. They would probably have to deactivate an outlet or two but they won’t have to run wires. 3.84 kW...
@azzurro It was not windy at all.
I mounted a camera to get a better recording of the screen. I wasn’t able to get tow mode activated but rarely was there anyone in the following zone. I will try the reset and see if that works. Our other Rivian just updated so I will take it out too for...
