I do it all the time and I use a socket from a wrench set that is slightly bigger than my charging cable and set it next to the cable. it protects the cable from the door weight

Something like this should work.
If I remember correctly it should be fairly easy. You’d just need an adapter off of the compressor to run the normal high pressure air line that connects into the horns.
You could just make a bracket and have the horns on that while in use in the bed and then remove them when finished. Don’t have to worry about mount and running the lines through the truck. I had semi truck horns on my f250
