I fully expect the mechanisms in my door handles and mirrors to be the first parts to require replacement on my R1S for the amount of times the car unlocks and locks while in my garage.
Totally agree. These teasers are for the established fanboys, they're doing nothing for people who need to learn about Rivian. Fingers crossed their marketing team has a better campaign when the vehicle is unveiled.
There have been a handful of times I'm waiting at my kid's practice or various appointments and thought it would be nice but if it's a significant development effort (not sure why it is) I would rather see them work on other things.
My first thought to the drone video last week was "Wow, impressive" but after yesterday's earnings I'm wondering if the whole thing is over-ambitious. The sheer size of it is incredible and they're obviously years out from delivering any vehicles. As I understand it, there are countless auto...
I had to force my app update this morning. Go to App Store, click your profile and then update the Rivian app. Make sure your iOS is 17.3.1, too. I had to also update that.
4 months, 3800 miles on the R1S so far, 100% trouble free. A few body panels I'd like them to adjust whenever it is I need a real SC appointment. I've held off for the benefit of our friends who have true issues to fix (also my wife doesn't even see what I'm talking about when I mention them so...
I'm following this thread in solidarity but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit glad to be at the back of the line this time. Every other update I sit impatiently waiting days for mine. Appreciate you all running point and blazing a safe trail for the rest of us.
I was actually thinking this feels exactly like somebody not yet comfortable with OPD. He let off the gas to approach a red light using regen braking, realized he needed some brakes after all and went to lightly press the brake but instead hit the accelerator, panicked and pressed harder.
I was intrigued by the Ocean due to all the media hype recently so I went to the site and built one (or attempted to). It was the single worst web experience I've ever had with a car brand. Slow, buggy, shitty graphics. I closed out the window and wrote off the car immediately.
That's promising, I've struggled to program the gate code into my R1S. I think the problem for me is there are 3 different gates I use to enter my neighborhood and the proximity prompt doesn't display on my driver display because it's not registering as being close enough to "home." I need to...
I would honestly be surprised if they sold that many of these hideous vehicles. I know Elon has his rabid fanbase and there are plenty of people who want one to be quirky and stand out - but are there 125k of them with that much disposable income AND no taste?
He's saying he got the front shade elsewhere so the code isn't working (same for me). I'll also pass on $18 shipping but thanks for bringing this to market!
Am I nuts or are these badges not accessible on the website? Your links worked but I've never seen them when browsing the Abstract Ocean site. Do they make these for the R1S?
I like where you're going with this and it certainly fits the Adventure brand. Bronco and Wrangler are both a long ways off from an EV version (yet people continue to buy them) and who knows when VW will release the Scout. An open air off road machine (or mall crawler in most cases) would be a...
