Rivians aren't super common around Cleveland yet, but I see some here and there. This past weekend, we went to the zoo for their yearly light display, and I spotted two R1Ss in the parking lot. I only had one 3d-printed yellow Rivian logo with me, so I snuck over to one and gently placed it...
Batteries not included, and no carplay?! Man...
Kidding aside, it looks like a neat little set, but it also looks like you only get one set of wheels 🤔
My Chevy Volt is an EREV, and it's been a nice introduction into an electrified vehicle over the past five years. While I'd prefer an R3X nowadays, I do think that EREVs have their place in helping shift people over to BEVs.
With regard to the screw in tow loops for recovery purposes, it's my understanding that those are okay for pulling a vehicle straight forward, but that they're not really designed to handle the forces and odd angles involved with recoveries.
Screw-in tow loops are generally not meant for...
Dunno about the price; I haven't ever looked into the e-bike market before. Gut feeling feels high, but 🤷♂️.
Tech-wise, there are numerous things that seem neat, but a few that I'm uncertain on.
1. The seat. The swappability is interesting, but it -feels- like it could be prone to breaking...
I went for a ride-along in an R1S at the Chicago auto show and test drove one in Orlando. Both times, the Rivian employees were sure to explain to me how to push operate the door to open it. Like, thanks, but to me that just screams "We know this isn't intuitive enough for the average user, so...
Starting with a screen-grab of someone's camp mode:
Generate a hyper-detailed, photorealistic image of this camping scene at sunset, with realistic textures on the tent, truck, and trees. Ensure the campfire flames and sunset glow have natural, photographic lighting and realistic shadows.
Make...
Chargers? Where we're going, we don't need chargers.
Has RJ made any mention of whether or not a Mr. Fusion will fit in the frunk?
Okay, I need to stop, or I'll be poking at this all evening.
Yeah, no, I'm gonna be doing this all night I'm pretty sure...
All I asked was "Generate a...
Dunno about worst... My Volt's EGR valve seized while I was on a trip out of state. I had to call around to about ten different dealers until I found one that had a Voltec-certified technician on staff so they could even look at the car later in the week. The dealer claimed that mice had...
I get the appeal in concept, but that probably wouldn't be a good thing, imo. If everything was a single OS, there would be no need to evolve it over time to make it better, as there'd be no competition. Now, if there was an industry standard for plug and play stuff (like what USB brought to...
It felt like they drew a lot of attention to their radar count/quality back when Gen 2 launched, so I wouldn't imagine that sensor modality being dropped so soon.
