Yep. Wire it so it disconnects the 12 volt completely. At least a person would then potentially be able to at least get in the vehicle and possibly charge the HV battery back up after sitting for a few weeks.

Wonder if it’s possible to put a 12 volt battery disconnect on the Rivian. All of my work’s big trucks like dump trucks have them. The disconnects disconnect the batteries prevent draw downs when the vehicle sits.

Adapters are available to go from CCS charger to NACS vehicle. So with a NACS equipped vehicle you have options outside tesla network.

Other EV providers could provide NACS plugs. It’s not a locked down connector…. It’s a much better option. Connector is not a monopoly. If a charging network is a monopoly they will break it up.

It would definitely be an advantage for Rivian over f150, Silverado/Sierra, and Ram EV offerings to have a NACS plug with those others sticking with CCS. It would just take some colaboration of Rivian with Tesla. It is dumb for a manufacture to have a locked down charging network. RAN included
