  1. Rivian tire change blues!

It’s a quickjack 7000 tlx. Got it mainly for my model 3 with hopes I could lift the Rivian. It does work for the Rivian but you need to be pretty careful a go easy when lifting the Rivian. Wish they made longer frames that would reach the Rivian jack points without turning the lifts sideways.
  2. Rivian tire change blues!

You need to find a new tire shop OP…. No issues rotating tires. Just lift the vehicle and rotate them. Doesn’t take that long at all and not a big deal.
  3. 50 amp vs 40 amp vs 30 amp

Longer you keep the vehicle awake and charging the less efficient the charging will be via the losses and energy lost keeping the vehicle awake and the charger running. Take it to the max capability and get the charging done and let the vehicle sleep. 6 hours of charging is going to have more...
  4. Are there any products you need for the Rivian and nobody made yet?

A concealed handgun holder that looks like a camp speaker that can lock in place like the factory speaker can via the center touch screen. Basically just a completely gutted camp speaker. Or bigger under front seat storage compartment with a biometrics lock to open.
  5. Rivian Garage Behavior

I’m in and out of my garage 10 times a day but don’t lock vehicles in my garage so that is disabled while home. Beer fridge is in the garage. Plug it in when home and if it wakes who cares. You get to look at your Rivian as you walk by! Going into the garage is a treat IMO. Next to the...
  6. Boise Idaho Area

Piles and piles of Rivian’s at Boise Rivian. Had to get some minor adjustment done on mine, outstanding job Drew with quick and prompt service! By the looks of it, R1S’s are the bulk of what people are buying in this area. Easily 80 percent of Rivian’s here are going to be SUV’s
  7. 48A vs. 40A for home charging??

Install 48 amp hardwire brand of your choice. I DIY installed 2 tesla gen 3 chargers. One for the model 3 with NACS plug and 1 for the Rivian with the J1772 plug. Both wired in with #4 copper and each on its own 60 amp breaker. The load sharing feature of the tesla chargers and the ability...
  8. Boise Idaho Area

Picked ours up this past Friday…. Windows tinted, t wrap screen protectors Rivian all weather mats installed and canvasback installed.
  9. Rivian now selling pollution indulgences

If they didn’t allow the credit scheme where manufactures get the money the Government would collect fines for fuel economy violations which would mean they could buy more military non emission tanks, heavy trucks and stuff which they then could distribute them around the World and would likely...
  10. Boise Idaho Area

August 2nd they mentioned as their first likely delivery as of right now. So it is happening!!!
  11. Boise Idaho Area

Went for a rip today in an R1t on the first mile drive. They got a semi delivery today. Couple in the shop getting pdi and 4 outside. Wish one was mine but mine is still at Normal. Had el cap R1t and white, limestone, and launch green R1S’s sitting outside waiting to go in. All interior...
  12. F150 Lightning gets nearly $10K in price cuts

A lariat ER becomes a bit more compelling. Dealers in my area have dealer mark downs as well by around $2-3k as well last time I looked. Wonder if they will still keep their dealer mark downs or add some adjustment back on top of them? But in the end the Lightning is a compliance/compromise...
  13. Boise Service Center is under construction

Of course! Eagle is my location. 148xx is the last bit of my vin so probably a recent build based on the R1S vin thread. Wednesday my email blew up from Rivian. Completed all my steps besides payment and scheduling delivery. Reached out to the guide that was assigned and told me 3-6 weeks…...
  14. Boise Service Center is under construction

My R1S has been bumped from April/May to June to July as the service center took a bit to get completed in Boise. Will have it in august as I have a vin, the R1S is built, and just waiting on shipment to Boise. My guide gave 3-6 weeks and should be ready for pickup. Have completed all steps...
  15. Weekly Rivian Responds: Details on NACS, Spare Tires, Driver+, and More! [6/27/2023]

Wonder when the RAN will switch to the NACS plugs at the charging stations. Since everybody is going to NACS it makes no sense whatsoever to build out a CCS network or continue to install CCS chargers or J1772 chargers for that matter.. CCS vehicles can just use adaptors to use NACS RANS or...
  16. Electrify America to Add NACS Connector by 2025, While Continuing CCS Support

You don’t have home charging availability? With any EV I can’t see charging within 150-200 miles of residence if you have the ability to charge at home.
  17. ? Rivian Adopts Tesla NACS Standard! (Adapters in 2024, Standard Charging Port in 2025)

Rivian’s can charge on magic docks already as can other vehicles. So the magic dock was a great test for adaptors that we will be able to buy to use on tesla superchargers. The magic dock did prove that almost any EV can charge on supercharger via an adaptor as the magic dock is exactly that…...
  18. ? Rivian Adopts Tesla NACS Standard! (Adapters in 2024, Standard Charging Port in 2025)

That is the entire amount of the whole charger NEVI Program and not what Tesla got or gets. States have to give out the money as they applied for it and got accepted.
  19. ? Rivian Adopts Tesla NACS Standard! (Adapters in 2024, Standard Charging Port in 2025)

There are way more EV charging stations than gas stations…. I got 2 in my garage. Many people have home charging stations which is essentially just private gas stations. The amount of gas station vs public charging stations is an irrelevant argument as you don’t need remotely close to the...
