  1. Shoshone RAN operational! Wow! The RAN stations are being built fast

I wonder if this has anything to do with spending that infrastructure money? And those DOGE dingbats. Shoshone RAN station on way to Death Valley NP is now shown to be open! And I was planning on going there soon! Yippee! Anyone up to checking it out? I suspect an announcement soon from Rivian!
  2. Who takes their R1T truly off roading?

I have 21 OEM wheels. I’m now on Michelin Defenders for onroad . My off-road setup came from Americas Tire. They got the wheels and added the KO2s. I went with the 2s over the 3s given availability and prior experiences. It was cheaper than other options. Americas Tire switches out the...
  3. Who takes their R1T truly off roading?

Does the road over Imogene Pass count :). BFG KO2s on LiquidMetal 21 inch wheels. We also often drive across the CA deserts. We were in Dale in Joshua Tree last month.
  4. Joshua Tree Rivian Charging Outpost Opens December 2024

Rivian has been planning a Death Valley RAN station at Shoshone near the SW entrance. But I bet it’s a bear to get enough power out there!
  5. My R1T has accelerated so fast that it went back to the Jurassic :)

Actually we did climb into the Dino’s mouth like they did.
  6. Hey, did you catch that’s the RAN in Sedona? Did that just pop up?

Never saw it before! Has anyone been there? No sign of the Joshua Tree one in the map.
  7. New Michelin LTX M/S2 on 275/55 R21 tires extra load on Gen1 R1T

Interesting that they are not nationwide. You could contact TireRack and have them deliver them to you and local installer.
  8. Many new RAN locations added to the official map!

On the original thread I started…I wonder why the Joshua Tree ā€˜Rivian Charging Outpost’ is not listed on the RAN map as ā€˜coming’ it’s almost dobe
  9. Many new RAN locations added to the official map!

I wonder what the mood is of Tesla employees. Anyone here work for them?
  10. Many new RAN locations added to the official map!

JT is crazy some days. Never go in via JT . Take the TwentyNine Palms or Cottonwood entrancesz
  11. New Michelin LTX M/S2 on 275/55 R21 tires extra load on Gen1 R1T

$400 less per set says a lot. Michelins are reported (and my experience) to last longer than the 35K miles I got with my original Pirellis. they are quieter than Pirellis but Pirellis were quiet too. Compare to K02s!!! if I waited for six years to replace mine I’d be driving on the disk...
  12. Many new RAN locations added to the official map!

Since I started this thread…. the Rivian ā€˜Adventure Station’ in Joshua Tree, CA is fully lit up and nears completion! Big sign on building says ā€˜Rivian’. That’s new for RANS! I can’t wait for opening day! Not sure why it isn’t on the map yet. May be a big announcement to say it’s available...
  13. New Michelin LTX M/S2 on 275/55 R21 tires extra load on Gen1 R1T

Just got back from my ā€˜test run’ that I do often. When the R1T was new on the Pirellis I got home with 41 miles left. This time after 53K miles I have 29 miles left. Now, I forgot to use cruise control for the whole trip - which helps on range/mileage - AND I went a bit faster than 2 years...
  14. New Michelin LTX M/S2 on 275/55 R21 tires extra load on Gen1 R1T

Just switched out my original Pirellis on Rivian R21 rims with these new Michelins. The Pirellis lasted 35K! I was on BFG KO2s on third party wheels from Americas Tires for an addition 15K miles until this change . Back on the K02s next year when off-roading fun returns for me. So far...
  15. Many new RAN locations added to the official map!

Because it it is almost built. Someone on this forum visited it recently and talked to the workers. I’d say it’s ready before 2025.
