Yes, these are planned in advance, this is just noise. There are many factors going on in his personal life that we just don't know. I have zero doubt he is nothing but all in on the future of Rivian.
Seems there’s conflicting info on this topic. If one needs new crossbars though, I’m sure they would work with R3/X and other new models on this platform, so that’s good.
Is there a list of states Rivian will not be allowed to sell directly to customers when the R2 launches? Very curious how many currently do not allow that.
Out of spec has stated this is true, Kyle literally talks with all the management at Rivian and had a sit down with RJ. I'm not a betting man but I'd wager on this one.....
Did you watch the video? Kyle completely agreed with RJ on the battery decision they made, but yes, he definitely has been hyper focused on that in that past.
Forced-balanced speakers have two opposing speakers (or a passive radiator) to cancel out vibrations in the housing, so the sub and mid-bass drivers (assuming rear doors) have two opposing units but it seems they are labeling them as a single speaker in the marketing count.
Yeah, as much as I would love the power of the Performance version, the Premium hits the sweet spot for both budget and features. I hope the active suspension is an option on the Premium, really do believe it will make a difference out on the roads...but it looks like only the Performance will...
Well, Damed if you do & Damned if you don’t I guess. Compared to the little boy who cried wolf over at T, RJ and team seem to be much better at being forthcoming with plans. Obviously there are circumstances out of their control but based on track record, I’m erroring on the side of optimism. To...
Right. But I thought the discussion about towing capacities was in regard to vehicle size, not price. Isn't the Macan similar in size to R2? Of course it's going to be more expensive, it's a Porsche.
Are you suggesting we shouldn't believe Rivian? They have stated production to start in 2028 at the GA plant, ground broke in Sept last year. I'm certain they have factored in the issues you have mentioned, they also kept to their stated timeline for the Normal expansion.
The Macan EV has a tow rating of 5500 lbs. and it's similar in size to the R2 (I think). There seems to be a phycological barrier when the rating is under 5k, I've seen many complaints of the R2's 4400 lb rating which is normal for a vehicle of this class.
Yes, especially since the power is the same with the single rear motor. If the battery were smaller (less cells, less voltage) wouldn't the motor output drop?
In one of the teaser production videos a while back, I swear they showed a brown(ish) dashboard being installed. That would be a nice option down the road, also the concept car had a light blue tone interior...where's that?
