Yeah, they are replacing the main CPU on all 3's for free, sounds like they have it sorted out now and as someone already mentioned, they're switching to 800v architecture with 2026 model year. Agree on the 2, great entry level EV and form factor....just too expensive!
Do temporary spares have to be replaced every six yrs? I've had many older cars with these and the spares looked great yet, even had to use a few that were definitely older than 6 yrs and it was fine.
That's too bad, was able to ride in the 3 and it's a fantastic vehicle...but not surprised. Prices need to come down with all new cars, especially EVs. ICE's are simply less expensive up front compared to an equivalent EV.
The iX3 front end is fine IMO, for me it's more about the interior (it will have 3 steering wheel options BTW) and how it drives because that's where I spend my time in a vehicle! The BMW has a very tech forward vibe, I much prefer the R2's outdoorsy vibe but hey to each their own. The specs...

Haha....now let's put the national debt (and global) into perspective. Our reckoning is coming, there's no end in sight to the over spending. Taking this theme deeper, humanity is over consuming Mother Earth's resources...it is simply not sustainable. The system of constantly buying shit we...
I guess people are driven by money, it's the way of the world. He seems like a good dude, hope he gives back to the world if he achieves that crazy payday.
Rivian sells way less than 500k EV's and they made a small gross profit last quarter....I realize there are several temporary factors in how they got to this small profit but the point is it can be done on lower volumes.
Price is a significant issue here too, EV's are simply more expensive...there's no getting around that currently. Yes there are long term savings but most don't look beyond upfront cost.
Kia Telluride base-$36390
Kia EV9 base - $54900
This brings up a good point for those in the used EV market, would be nice to get a report of the charging history. I've purchased a few used TV's over the years for a second room, I can go into the service menu and see how many hours it was on....was able to call out the seller for saying it...
I understand where you're coming from, but it just does not make sense for any major purchase. The OEM should have clear recommendations as they are the entity who has deigned and tested the item purchased. From there, it's up to the owner to differ from those OEM recommendations.
