Please help me understand, if a battery is no longer a good use in an EV...how is it still good to use in another application? I know with many home battery set ups, they are often charged and discharged daily to make best use of peak vs off peak electric rates.
I've rented several EV's for my frequent road trips, so I'm fully aware. However, they are business related travels so less time in the vehicle is $ to me. It will be fine, there are so many other advantages in going with full BEV.
Yeah, I get it...all hands on deck right now to get the R2/3 out the door with as little costs as possible and get those much needed sales going. RJ has stated faster DCFC times are coming at some point, I'm sure it's a ways off though. For me, it's something I would truly appreciate being a one...
Yet another EV is going 800v Architecture with faster DCFC, yes this is a Mercedes sedan but the trend is heading in this direction for the entire industry. Rivian will need to up their DCFC speeds at some point sooner rather than later to stay competitive, for many it is a big deal...
Catalina Cove is my color 😍
Also, this photo really shows how egg shaped the MY is in comparison. Definitely prefer the shape of R2, even if there's a loss of Cd value.
I would imagine this company will make an R2 specific mattress. Yes, the one for the model Y fits, but it's off just a bit. There will be hundreds of thousands of R2's on the road some day, why not make one that's fits perfectly?
Crazy that a vehicle needs $6k of work done for the air conditioning system at only 60k miles. I guess it could happen to any vehicle but it's never happened with any I've owned and well into 100k miles of ownership. Glad you had the Rivian Care!
