Lukas ships from the US now so tarrifs shouldn't be an issue. And we're testing cooperative steering solutions now but no guarantee yet we can get it working. Lukas is trying, though!
This will require an entirely new wiring harness that needs to replace what's plugged into the AXM.
Angle-based steering is finally working on Gen 1 Rivians with Comma and it’s a pretty big step up.
I put together a video breaking down angle vs torque steering, showing real-world driving, and covering some big updates like Uncle Tony’s latest fork and Gen 2 support getting merged into...
I'm fairly certain you have an older harness. The easiest way to check is to disconnect the fuse tap and if the comma still powers on that means you do have an axm power connection on your harness.
Using axm power is bad enough since the axm seems to be very sensitive to power fluctuations but...
Are you using any kind of alternative power source like a fusetap in your setup? If not it is highly likely you are using axm power through your harness in which case yes you have a harness that still has the axm power connection.
However if you're using an alternative power source like a fuse...
Harnesses aren’t out yet, but I’d expect them to start showing up on the Comma site soon.
Merged PR here if you want to check it out:

Awesome! Great to hear you got it all working, and I appreciate your support for my channel!
So the setting you’re looking for is called “Max Time Offroad.” I keep mine set to 30 minutes so I have enough time to upload logs and videos after I get home, but you can adjust it higher or lower...
Can you show me your settings when you have a moment? Also check under the developer menu on the device itself whether Alpha Longitudinal is toggled on.
Everything on the rivian's dash stays the same.
What happens when you press the speed buttons and scoll wheel on the steering wheel? Do you see the set speed change on the Comma?
Do you have experimental mode enabled? If so, turn that off as well.
Using a fusetap and making the power wire modification to the harness is covered in the document below on pages 10-13.

The following community-sourced document is a great resource for anyone interested in installing a Comma in their Rivian and I highly recommend reading it thoroughly before attempting it.

I've driven both Gen 2 and Gen 1 with Comma. I my opinion, Gen 1 with Comma is the better, superior implementation of hands free AT THIS POINT. This may change as both systems continue to evolve and develop, but this is how I feel currently with both systems as they stand right now.
Keep in...
You just need to send me a route with uploaded logs, and I can see what kind of torque results you're getting. Here's a tutorial on how to do that:
Something else that seems to help with crossing over divider lines or shoulder lines, even though Comma says it's not needed, is an 8-degree...
If you'd like, I can see what kind of torque performance numbers you're getting from your setup. Seems like that's a curve that the Comma should be able to handle fairly easily unless you're on some tires that aren't so great.
