They said they would be notifying people in APRIL. APRIL JUST STARTED. Come back on April 29th and complain if you haven't heard anything by then, not on the 2nd day of the month. LOL! :-)
Whoa, $15,000+ for this setup? Yikes. Seems pretty pricey. Definitely has a Rivian premium attached to it. There are travel trailers that can be purchased for close to that amount and they have kitchens and bathrooms!!
Small travel trailers in the 4,000 lb range wouldn't destroy your travel...
Just because the Moroney sticker says it has one thing, doesn't always mean it does. Fairly recently, the battery took a crap in my Tesla. It originally had 360 miles in range when new. When I got it back, it was 395. Should I call Tesla and tell them they put the wrong battery in when replacing...
In my R1T at least, the heat inside was just unbearable during summer months. I tinted all the side windows and even the roof, but still got way too hot inside. I then did the windshield in a basically clear tint that is supposed to cut down the UV rays. To the naked eye, can't tell that it's...
Great example of being able to park on the opposite side. Tesla's can park on one side while others can park on the other side to avoid taking two charging spots. When this is available, non-Tesla owners should be courteous and take advantage of it.
Naturally, it's not going to be ideal in all situations. All we can ask is that EV owners use a little COMMON SENSE and show a little respect whenever it is at all possible.
Most of the time, Tesla superchargers are completely full, but they may be now. When you pull up, at least take a moment...
That part is absolutely true. I absolutely love the fact that I no longer have to stop for gas on a regular basis. And yes, for those only doing one trip per year, assuming they aren't in a rush to get to their destination, then EV's aren't so bad for that ONE road trip per year. But, for those...
To answer another question above, people don't want to change their driving habits. If the government and manufacturers really want to get the world over to full EV's, they need improve it to the point where people don't have to. Besides, on a road trip, you're simply travelling on the freeway...
Everybody'
Everybody's use case is different. On the way to our destination, we generally plan for more time. However, on the way back, we're usually leaving late at night when everything is closed along the way. So, stopping to eat is not an option. We are simply wanting to get home at a...
I guess you technically can, but Rivian has already strongly recommended not using adapters not supplied by Rivian. The Rivian adapters are purpose built to use the Tesla superchargers. The other adapters just have the plugs oriented in a manner that they'll plug in. But who knows if there's...
Two hours is fairly significant. But, that's just for the trip back. You also added two hours for the trip there. Then, unless you found a hotel or Airbnb with charging, you also had to find time to charge while at your destination. Thus, if you don't have the luxury to charge at your...
Ventura (or L.A.) to Vegas is a good trip for the Rivian. Only need one stop. Don't need to charge to 100%. Start off with enough to get to Barstow and use the Rivian Adventure Network charger, which works as simply as a Tesla Supercharger. There's also a RAN when you pull into Vegas if you need...
Found this video on youtube. Not mine, but I've experienced the exact same scenarios on road trips.
No fault of Rivian, same is true for any non-Tesla EV. With the Tesla superchargers supposedly opening up to Rivians this month (13 days left), should change the perception.
But, after having...
Old thread I know. First time seeing it. Figured I'd share my opinion.
I'm one that wants to be able to see out. Used to like dark tint, but realized that at night, even with backup lights it was impossible to see out the rear with anything over 35%.
Tinted driver and front passenger door...
And one more reply to this post for everyone. I've sold many cars private party. Yes, can be some bad experiences. Possibly because I have sold quite a few, I've learned the red flags.
Personally, on any car I'd consider selling to a Carmax type place, I will get my offer from them, which is...
Can't say I agree with this. Depends on what aftermarket items you do. If you get extremely custom and personal, then yes, you're cutting out 90% of the buyer pool as they may not like what you like. But, for items such as PPF, window tint, screen protectors, cargo cover, etc, etc, they...
I realize my reply is a couple of weeks late, but just in case you haven't decided yet......Personally, I'd take all your aftermarket items off and then sell it to Carmax (as other's said, check with other places to see if you can get a higher offer too), then privately sell your after-market...
I heard about that on later models. Unfortunately, that means it's going to be the same problem for any dash mounted phone. Can get a long USB-C cable to run from the center console, down beside the seat, under the plastic floor space in front of the console and back up to a phone would be my...
