Hi everyone, thanks for your suggestions. Here is the update. We elected...

  6. Motor Failure on Cross-Country Road Trip

We were enjoying our Illinois to West Coast road trip in our R1S Quad up until yesterday in Montana when we heard a loud thumping coming from the rear end. I believe we have a rear drive failure. I am in the process of installing the Front Runner Slimline II Roof Rack for our R1S and have a concern about the fitment. 11. Chicago to Vancouver - Use Rivian or ABRP?

It gets even more interesting as I continue to study the maps. I-90 is a dead-zone for Rivian charging on the Tesla network. Nothing from east of Sioux Falls all the way to Billings. However, I-90 is a must if charging the Rivian on only CCS chargers.
  12. First Charge with A2Z NACS to CCS adapter (success!)

Was wondering if anyone else who ordered their A2Z the first week of April has received theirs yet? I ordered mine on 4/6, so I am at the end of the 15-20 business day lead time. I have still not received any shipment confirmation. I wonder if the lead-time is actually longer than 15-20 biz days.
  13. Chicago to Vancouver - Use Rivian or ABRP?

Yes, that is what I thought. Rivian is not taking advantage of the Tesla network when Routing.
  14. Chicago to Vancouver - Use Rivian or ABRP?

Thanks for the advice. You’re absolutely right unless I will be able to charge on the Tesla network. I now see that I would need to stop at a slow 76KW charger to get me through ND
  15. Chicago to Vancouver - Use Rivian or ABRP?

Hello, planning a June road trip from Chicago to Vancouver with R1S roof-top camping along the way. In planning the route I noticed that A Better Route Planner (ABRP)plans a 43-hour route mostly in I-94 up to Billings, whereas the Rivian navigation plans a more southerly route along I-90 and...
  16. Air compressor breaks during 1st use

I decided to try out the air compressor for the first time, at 10 PSI. I was using it to inflate a dog crate. Within a few minutes I heard a loud pop and whoosh. It sounded like an internal hose (beneath the trunk compartment) blew off. After this the compressor now sounds different (like there...
