  1. Interesting Maps Route Behavior at Low State of Charge

Interesting. Actually, my preferred arrival state of charge is 30% AND I used the nav three days prior when I started at 30% and ended at 28% and it had nothing to say about that. Curious.
  2. Interesting Maps Route Behavior at Low State of Charge

The point was that the nav wanted to FORCE me to charge. I only set the destination to get the arrival time prediction. I found the car wanting me to charge quite odd as I had 11% and was only a half mile from my destination.
  3. Interesting Maps Route Behavior at Low State of Charge

I set NO charge in the nav. the only reason I was using the nav was to predict my arrival time.
  4. Interesting Maps Route Behavior at Low State of Charge

I was on a 12 mile trip to my friends house yesterday with the route mapped. As I got close I happened to see that my SOC was way down to 12%! Within a mile of my friend's house is a Tesla Supercharger location. With less than a half mile to my friend's house the route REALLY wanted me to go...
  5. $2500 Autonomy+ one time purchase now an option on Rivian configurator

Per: "What is the Rivian Autonomy Platform?" "Note: In the event of ownership transfer, a one-time purchase of Autonomy+ stays with the vehicle." Not happy that they have decided to go with the old Tesla FSD model there.
  6. Tesla self-driving is so much safer, you get an insurance discount for using it

My evidence (driving hundreds of miles on FSD) is every bit as good as your blanket "drunken teenager" claim with NO evidence.
  7. Displayed speed limit often wrong

Interesting viewpoint. I believe the officer writing your ticket will be using the POSTED speed limit as the correct one.
  8. Wishlist of small things that Rivian can improve (that bug you)

It would be nice if the truck remembered where it is in the app. I don't know how many times I have looked after multiple drives to find it thinks it is still parked at home. Very irritating.
  9. Tesla self-driving is so much safer, you get an insurance discount for using it

Horse doodoo. I've driven many hundreds of miles on FSD and never once thought it was worse than a drunken teenager.
  10. Displayed speed limit often wrong

It's not clear to me that it ever read speed limit signs. I have had my Rivian drive right past a 45 MPH speed limit sign and leave the displayed limit at 25 MPH. I had the same complaint about my Model S. For self driving we cannot rely on data embedded in maps which is often wrong. Speed...
  11. Rivian's in-car UI is better than Tesla's

Sorry, I still miss the layout, functionality and responsiveness of my Model S as compared to my R1S. Not to mention that everything they promised actually does work.
  12. Actual Tire Wear on Gen 2 DM Models

Not for me. Same screen, rear motors are on only rarely even when on the highway and climbing mountains.
  13. UHF doesn't switch lanes with signal on non highways?

That is how 2025.38 was working for me on roads that were only mapped "sort of". I travel on a road that has been under construction for several years adding a lane. It was finally finished 6 months + ago. As far as my Rivian was concerned that third lane (the car thought it was the left most...
  14. Add-On Data Platforms

I'm a long time TezLab user. Had it for 3 years on my Model S, and now on my R1S. Not quite as good for the Rivian as the Tesla but still great.
  15. With the digital key, you can use Siri to lock/unlock.

Ooh, Excited to give that a try, if I ever do get the update. It seems I'm always last in line.
  16. 12v replacement required on new gen2 R1T

I have a 2025 R1S Dual Motor Max Pack. I left for a five week trip to Norway and London at the beginning of October. I left my Rivian connected to the charger at 41% SOC and a charge limit of 50%. It charged to 50% and then every couple of days it would drop to 49% and charge back to 50%...
