Yep, I had my 12v replaced too, though it did not happen until the software update, literally within 2 days post-update. The 12v was replaced over a month ago.
I'm getting something similar, having happened in two separate instances.
First, I had a 530 mile road trip and averaged about 2.55mi/kwh to my destination. Then I was plugged-in off and on and only drove 2-4 miles over a long weekend, and plugged in again prior to driving home. When I went...
You were the first to get your knickers in a bind with the whining. Your profile says you're an IT Solutions Architect. If you're truly an IT Solutions Architect, you'd be among the first to understand that infinite software updates to hardware that is no longer in production are practically...
I have just had this issue for the first time, after updating to 2025.18.30 on my Gen 2 R1S. I have almost never had phantom braking before and regularly road trip; over 25k miles in 9 months. After the software update I have finally had my first couple of road trips and Highway Assist (or...
Yes it is a software locked max pack. But Rivian has locked every single thing to match the true Large. We don't get the Max's curve, the trip computer does the math based on it being 108kwh instead of 120.5; everything that should be different is exactly like the Large.. Service won't even...
I don't think that's accurate. I have a Gen 2 Large+ and I've always been able to get about 210 max. After the update I saw above 215kw for the first time. Granted being a Large+ it may not be *exactly* the same as a true Large, but every other charging limitation seems to have mirroed a true...
Yeah, makes sense. I struggle with that balance too. Usually on the road trips I was describing I'm pretty open-ended so don't mind charging for a bit longer, and if I stop at the Vegas RAN there's a huge mall with restaurants and shops to hang out at, so I'm usually in no rush. For me it's...
I have a Dual Motor Large+ which is a Max pack software limited, so our vehicles are pretty much the same aside from max usable capacity. Oh wait, I don't know what your tire/wheel combo is. Mine is 22" Sport. Assuming you're looking at a 410 EPA range, I'm guessing yours are too?
My lifetime...
This intermittently happens to me. Usually it happens on, say, the first track I play after just starting the car, and then if I do a new search or browse, or select a new playlist, it'll appear on any media that queues up afterwards. It's very odd.
That’s where I really try to re-calibrate my expectations. My R1S is my first true vehicle that appears to be designed to excel at both on and off road (or at least be adequate at both). When I’m driving on-road I oftentimes wish for the buttery suspension my 2017 Cayenne S had, but I also...
Yeah there's definitely a big slowdown.
My 6-96% charge, I went from 6% to 70% in 27 out of the 54 minutes.
I got to 85% in another 10 minutes.
Then the final 10% from 86 to 96 took 17 minutes.
Nah I think I get what he's getting at here. A 6 year old smart device likely has a lot more problems trying to execute new code than a brand new device designed for that code might have.
It also depends on your battery pack capacity as well.
I have a Gen 2 R1S Large+. Electrafi.com reports that as 120.5kWh.
My longest session at the RAN in Barstow was 6% to 96% (109.4kWh) and took 54 minutes. So figure 0 to 100 for that capacity is probably close to 70 minutes.
Or hey, how about the ability to both post publicly and also send feedback directly to Rivian too! It's amazing that people are capable of doing more than one thing.
Posting publicly shares ones' experiences and could encourage others who sympathize or have experienced the same to give feedback...
I wonder that myself… prior to hoisting on to my R1S it laid on the ground for a bit. However, I never unfolded it to know for sure. The issue will be the rails on the bottom of the tent that attach to the roof do not exist on one side of the tent after unfolding. So while the built-in...
