  1. 2024.39.31 Update Now Installing (Halloween Theme Costumes Return!)

Yeah I hope so too. I never had an issue with my phone on the charging mat triggering Apple Wallet, but after 39, it happens every time. Plus the Homelink oddities that were fine before, now are not. I may go out for a test drive to check once my update is done.
  2. 2024.39.31 Update Now Installing (Halloween Theme Costumes Return!)

As far as I can see the release notes are the same. Mine’s installing now too.
  3. R2 @ Nashville Space Oct 2024 -- photos & impressions

@Highfalutintodd Not to hijack the point of the thread, but how many miles do you have on your Model S and did you have major fixes done? I had a 2014 P85+ for a while (it got totaled) and wonder how the older vintage Teslas hold up.
  4. 2024.39 Update Rolling Out

If they can see how ETA would be important enough to have it in the new map panel, then it is probably likely that most of us also care about our SOC upon arrival as well, and it looks like there is plenty of room for it. Of course, putting the ETA on the drivers display means it also follows...
  5. 2024.39 Update Rolling Out

Good point. It'll be interesting to see how yours reacts to the update.
  6. 2024.39 Update Rolling Out

Ha! That's the phone camera at work. It does not look quite that bad in real life.
  7. 2024.39 Update Rolling Out

I agree. I came to the R1S from a Taycan and there was one setting that had a map full-screen on the display and then speed was at the top. If you had a nav route active, one of the side displays would pop up to remind you - or you could set as a hybrid between the two and the map just...
  8. 2024.39 Update Rolling Out

That's more-or-less my take too. Ok it looks cosmetically different, but it's basically the same thing. I want to adjust away from 2mi/kwh and have the max be greater than 4. So far my lifetime average on my R1S through 4,000 miles is right at about 2.50mi/kwh. I'd like the choice to zero in...
  9. 2024.39 Update Rolling Out

Yeah it's shorter now to make room for the box above. However, I just checked to see how it would behave if I have a route active. Here's what it looks like. It's still assigning the entire panel to nav, but just sub-divided.
  10. 2024.39 Update Rolling Out

Yeah I'm surprised there are no pics yet. Here you go. Let me know if I forgot something and I'll try to grab a pic really quick. Note, on the Nav screen, when you have a route planned, street names will appear.
  11. Positivity -- SoCal to Seattle & back, scenic route. R1S flawless over 2300 miles, 30-100 degree temps, 9 RAN chargers

Yeah, my daughter and I road tripped to Seattle from SoCal to see Metallica in my previous EV just a couple of weeks before our R1S delivery… from the SF Bay we worked our way towards Eureka and then cut back over to the 5 at the Umpqua River in Winchester Bay. From Eureka to Winchester Bay was...
  12. Charging options in Escalante, UT?

Just to be clear, the two Tesla chargers (plus it looks like one J1772 at each location) are L2 chargers, not Tesla Superchargers like Beaver. If you’re not limited to Tesla for Level 3 charging, and depending where you’re coming from, there is also Electrify America in Beaver, Cedar City...
  13. Gen 2 R1S Large - From 14ft elevation to 10,000ft - 1100 mile round trip

My wife and I have a place in Brian Head that we rent out when we’re not there. If you haven’t been, it’s definitely a gem of a place that most people don’t think of. Cedar Breaks in winter will be stunning. Your R1S will be great. With mine, I’ve been up to BH once and back, and then just...
  14. Lane Change on Command setting won’t stick

So it should really be automatic? i’ve been flipping on my blinker and manually changing lanes with Driver+ re-engaging automatically after completion and thinking “this is it?” this whole time.
  15. EV infrastructure In Hurricane situation.

I saw Kyle from OutOfSpec demonstrating this just yesterday and looked it up. Sure enough it's a sanctioned feature with Lucid Airs. So cool!
  16. Rivian's Dangerous Gamble: Ignoring Customer Safety for Profit?

Finally someone mentioned them! I had one thrown in the trunk of every car I owned until MapQuest became a thing. I was just telling my wife a week or two ago, all the crazy freeway design happening nowadays (looking at you Las Vegas), could you imagine trying to get to where you need to go on...
  17. Is there a way to prioritize RAN over Tesla SC or add RAN as charge stops like ABRP

I agree, I’d like a bit more flexibility when planning that too. What I usually end up doing is outlining a trip in ABRP and then targeting the charger I want on the Rivian NAV, one leg at a time.
  18. I hope Rivian will release a performance package through software upgrade

Thankfully companies with many different departments, staffed by many different employees, can work on many different items simultaneously. noun: multi-tasking the performance of more than one task at the same time. "parenting skills such as multitasking and concentrating amid distractions...
  19. Rumor of new battery size: Large+

    That feels crazy slow to me. Here's an example at a recent RAN stop plugging in at 25% SOC: 84% to 86% - 99.3kw Starting at 87%, it ramped down quickly: 87% - 91kw 90% - 63kw 92% - 42kw 94% - 25kw 96% - 22kw I believe the equivalent SOC on the Max pack at those points would be from 65% to 74%...
