I really want to do the cargo area but how do they attach to the seat backs? Does the OEM carpet get removed? I can't help but think that any kind of glue option is going to be sloppy up close.
And how does the mat cover your entire tailgate and allow it to close properly? Don't the two trim...
Completely agree. It is beyond frustrating that these handles advertise an unlocked vehicle. Prox unlock should kick-in when a locked handles is pulled, like on my Porsche. There needs to be an option to not present handles
Any chance you aren't wearing your seat belt when you're backing up?
When I reposition a car in my driveway I don't put on my seat belt. My R1 would slam into park any time I was maneuvering in reverse in my driveway.... turns out that when I turn around to look where I'm going my ass lifts...
I’ve routinely tried L2 topping off my battery within 90 minutes of departure and no difference.
And yesterday I navigated to a RAN fast charging station for 30+ minutes and my battery temp increased from 56 to 58 degrees and motors didn’t even break 100 degrees, which makes me think all this...
Totally agree about the inconsistency. There is also regen inconsistency when the battery is at a "high" state of charge or [rumored] when some other unknown component(s), maybe inverters?, are unwilling/unable/too hot to cooperate.
I mostly appreciate what Rivian's one-pedal driving (1PD) does...
@RWerksman ... I really appreciate your efforts and can the fob surround be installed only 1 way? Like, if I want the key-ring-attach-hole to be nearest a specific button can I just turn the surround 180° or flip it and it'll still attached to the fob?
I get the feeling the fob isn't...
I don't see it either. For the last update (v2.4.0) I had to do what EchoDelta said ....
But this time, today/now, I still do not see the update no matter what I do or where I look or what I refresh. Either Rivian misspoke or the app will show up when it shows up.
Same. We find the proximity/PAAK is too clunky. Even when it's just me and I need to toss something in the back seat or cargo. I'm sure it works for others and I'm glad it is an option for those that find it useful.
Using the fob is the [unfortunate] solution.
It is unfortunate because even...
Cool project. How are you getting the energy stats from the R1? I've never seen the percent charge in tenth of a percent before and would love to see that on the primary display [because I'm curious about elevation & SoC!]
ugh... well, I'm not going to let that deter me. So far, mine is consistently leaving the dock with zero-to-low charge. If that is 'works as expected' then we have a bigger problem.
I’d encourage you to submit a service ticket for this so we can get some traction on a fix or replacement.
I had the same experience with mine - but only once - so I’m starting to experiment with mine and if it consistently behaves this way I’m going to enter a service ticket.
Yeah it bugs me that the headlights stay on while parked. And sometimes I’d still like to listen to music and/or have climate control while parked.
seriously I don’t know why the headlights stay on I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a setting for headlights while parked.
Every time I see a SiriusXM subject line I'm hopeful it is a solution; alas, not this time.
We took delivery anyway, and there are days when I will drive my ancient Honda so I have reliable radio and carplay for Waze & messaging.
When a quality XM aftermarket solution comes on the market...
